No I haven't been to the Doctor but I have bashed my finger with a hammer today. The nail has gone from red to purple and it's throbbing. Do you think it will drop off?

Bon Anniversaire BHB -
That's fatherhood for you. I should imagine it's still at the 'mustard' stage... happy days.

An example would be Tabeluia Serratifolia, one of the so called 'iron woods'.

Not sure if that's one of those Urban myth things, but funny anyway. But mainly this post was to see if the quotes are working properly now. Yep. I think it probably is. I'm gullible too.

You know Ira, even drunk as a skunk that particular set of words would not have made any sense to me. Of course considering that you have no formal education, nor do you have access to regular mental capabilities (such as simple reasoning and common sense), I suppose I should not really be surprised and would be much better off just admiring your ability to spell certain words--irregardless of how senseless they are when strung together. I am sure that if Iain felt the need to defend his command of the English language he would, but I have read his post and it makes complete sense. Perhaps not the best use of English, (missing the odd bit of punctuation), but understandable to anyone with a knowledge of British culture.

Happy Birthday Grim. Enjoy your cake. -
Aye, not my best night although Licorice McKechnie counts as another newie I've introduced here. I had a spate of posting after a long intoxicating night talking shite, an enjoyable evening but not a good idea to end it here. Still, I have one off night whilst you - CP - continue to display headgear on your avatar that counts as a crime against fashion in 2006, sort of thing. Actually, in 2006, CP's hat is quite fashionable, probably.

Probably as fed up with it all as everyone else.

Banshees, I think you have more money than sense. I am currently using an old pair of underpants as a floor cloth. Waste not want not. -
Yes this is something to consider. The soil is soft at the moment, but by July, usually here it is as hard as rock (heavy clay, hot summers). Problem is, they haven't gone yet, house sales take ages here. They were talking today about being there until the end of the summer!! Poor Rodders will be baked solid by then.

I think we may be saved. Our friends are moving, happily, not too far away, but far enough to enable us to sneak in and dig him up before the next lot arrive. He was lovely and I would really like him to be in our garden.

I had this problem. At the top of the explorer page there should be a thing to click on called "Tools". Click on this, then the "Pop-Up Blocker" tab, which should give you the option of turning off the Pop-Up Blocker, which appears necessary to get into the chat room. We use Firefox and the tool button doesn't have that. Any ideas what I can do now as I really miss the chat room It's under 'options' at the bottom of the tools menu. -

Is that so? I'll try tonight then. It was Arthur Lowe's favourite drink apparently. Jolly nice with a slice of lemon. -
Anything older than 18 months should be locked.(July 2004??) I don't understand why threads need to be locked at all unless they get really out of hand. Old threads are often revisited because the subject matter becomes topical again, if we lock them just because they are old, we'll end up with lots of duplication.

Happy Birthday Lady Die. Lashings of ginger beer (particularly nice with gin actually). -
true dat - I hear he's going to have an Opera-tion very soon. Betty doesn't. Quite Frank-ly, I agree with Rick. Every day, in every way, he's getting better and better.

I think it could be that there is nobody celebrating their birthday and no members are on Dead Chat. Under board statistics, it used to give a list of members logged into the site at any one time. It also used to have a special box for birthdays which said 'no members are celebrating their birthday', if it was no-ones birthday. Last night, there were lots of people on chat but there was no list on the front page. -
You'll be the groom then? Hope you get a nice bridle suite on your honeymoon. Congratulations, by the way.

Glad to see guests allowed to post again (I think), but what has happened to the front page, it no longer shows which members are on the forum, on deathchat or whose birthday it is.
