In all fairness, there's no real way to predict how long someone is going to live for. Besides, isn't the whole point of DL that the people on it aren't expected to live much longer? Thats what made the dunn pick so crazy though he was just a random pick in 1987 when the science of the deathlist wasnt really perfected yet and it lasted for 25 years with him being on the list 16 of those. I think dunn after a while became the anti DL and was just put there out of tradition and not that he was likely to die. So its hard to replace someone like that. If he were to be replaced it would have to be someone that is likely to sit on the list for years I think and its hard to just pick that and be right about it.

shouldnt it be someone that is expected to last a long time? Picking Anna Wing who is 98 years old seems more like a choice for a normal deathlist. Ozzy or Andrea are still relatively young and could be on for years like clive was. The reason he was kept on was his immorality correct? So if he was to be replaced it would have to be someone that constantly has been on the deathlist since the 80s and is still immortal and seems like they just keep on going. If noone can really fit the mold then i dunno how you can call them a replacement

Guess what-I thought Andy Rooney was on the list.Sorry! Do you ever get tired of speaking a load of shite? Have to admit I thought more people had Andy Rooney on our local dead pool this year. About 6 people had him last on their lists last year, guess they got tired of waiting for him to die and dropped him. Those ones in the 90's could be tricky. You feel like they can just die in the sleep at any moment, but then next thing you know they seem to be healthy and not near death and you figure they will make it to 95 easy but then out of nowhere you forget bout them and they just die. I believe andy rooney had some surgery complications but still my point remains just cause they are 90+ doesnt mean they will die tomorrow.

I guess it could refer to it lingering on too... but "sudden stroke" is more or less stupid, and points to the hoax since no respectable news agency would call it a "sudden stroke." I've never heard of any of those the only one ive heard of is http://deadpool.rotten.com/ which is a pretty good one because you can start it from any time of the year and your people get an entire 365 days to die. I never did any of this dead picking things or predicting until late 2006 when i found your deathlist site, so im kinda intersted in these other sites you talk about. What are they and which ones do you think are the best ones. Also has anyone else ever played on the one im a member of?

No, for your information, MPFC, the author of that research is Robert Young, who checks out all claims of longevity for Guiness World Records & is one of the main researchers into the last WWI veterans. He's a thoroughly nasty & unlikeable man, but knows his onions & is, generally, a reliable source. Incidentially, if you had read the talk page in full, he quotes his source. It is the 1910 US census that he quotes as proof that Ruby Muhammad is a mere 100 years of age. However, I think - but only think - he's got this quite embarrasingly wrong. Because the source in question lists Ruby Davis as being... white. So, looks like she IS 110. the thing i dont like about rotten is theres only a select list of people to choose from plus you can do it anytime in the year. These other ones sound like you start it rigth from the beginning of the year till the end so its a true year. Luckily my rotten one was started late december so it was close, but now i know for next year of some better ones
