Too right . All the people I know that went to religious schools came out Athiests

I seem to recall that the rich were getting fat off the hard work of the poor . Not much has changed since then.
-
I seem to recall that that's because the americans are more into American football and Baseball, Green.

True, although the stability of capitalism has been used as the justification for a few wars and the forcing of people into prison camps without trial recently, not to mention the effects on less developed countries where corporations have exploited the workforce, so you can't really say that capitalism doesn't justify brutality.

The Communists weren't so big on genocide tho. And it was less communism that killed the huge numbers of people, and more the paranoid leaders that it gained, who ruled with a system much closer to fascism than to traditional marxist communism. The Nazi's would have been FAR worse than the communists if it wasn't for the fact that everyone else, the communists inluded, decided that they were getting too dangerous for the world. But hey, capitalism is just as bad. It allows people to starve to death if they can't afford food, forces people to pay what they don't have for healthcare, creates a new aristocracy of extremely rich businessmen who rule not only their own country but other capitalist countries around them, and it tries to brainwash people into thinking that this situation is good, and it's the only way that works. And yes. Marx opressed no-one.

This is a solemn moment for the deathlist. It's greatest dodger, it's most excellent escapee is finally about to kick the bucket and head off to the great big vatican in the sky. So, if this one lasted the longest ever, are we about to have one that dies after just one year again?

The simpsons is... wait, was great. The old episodes were fantastic, but it's collapsed, completely of late. Matt Groening's other show 'Futurama' was far superior, but fox killed it. As usual.

Could have been worse; where would Billie Piper have been if her career hadn't picked up!
-
Remind me to buy one for my History teacher.

Great looking car though.

Looks like the Moore's still got some time left: he's been making TV appearances. He's on Blue Peter tonight, and was on Richard and Judy earlier in the week.
-
I dunno, I still recon this is his year to go...
-
Hmm... Well, at the moment, anyone on the list should be getting around a 1/4 chance of dying. Do you really think that maggie should be dignified with a 3/4 chance of surviving the year? I think not!

Deathlist 2005! Success Poll
Markusdragon replied to weatherman90's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Well, that depends... The first prediction made in blue is what i describe as the 'Pessimist'. The pessimist was worked out using polynominals. Having no knowledge of mathematics past that of GCSE (but good knowledge in the art of making nice graphs), I have no idea what that means, but it predicts bad news for the list, saying it will peak at a pitiful 43% between 2035 and 2042 and then gradually fade. The red prediction, or 'Optomist' says that we could be seeing a full house as early as 2063, when by all rights, at least one of the original committee will be on the list. Of course, until there's more data (like another 10 years, because the first few are somewhat... erratic), it's virtually impossible to make a truly accurate prediction. -
Deathlist 2005! Success Poll
Markusdragon replied to weatherman90's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
As you can see, judging by the gradual development of the deathlist from 1987-present based on the accuracy of the list each year, the deathlist should be just below 27% accurate in 2005. This means that, give or take a death or two, there should be 13 celebrities on that list popping their clogs before the end of the year. And that has to be the most carefully prepared first post I ever made to a messageboard .
