The Witches star Anne Hathaway has promised to "do better" following the criticism the film has received for its portrayal of limb difference.
The actress acknowledged that many people "are in pain" over the way her Grand High Witch character is depicted.
"I owe you all an apology," she wrote on Instagram.
In the new adaptation of Roald Dahl's 1983 book, the witches are revealed to have three elongated fingers on each hand and toe-less feet.
Comedian Alex Brooker and others with hand and arm impairments have accused the film of being insensitive towards disabled people.

Why do people pander to this nonsense? It needs to be called out for the bollocks it is.
I couldn't agree more - it's a children's fantasy story, FFS.
As for Brooker's comment, I've never heard him complain about the title of "The Last Leg" (which he appears on all the time) when the main host has a foot disability...
Hmm, double standards?

A song covered by a few acts has seen top five action in the UK twice. Credited as a major ground-breaker in its original version (though actually not what it was thought to be) it's been given a metal makeover, topped a chart many miles away and been dragged into a drug fueled stupor, the song usually emerging recognizable despite the musical contortions performed upon it; which include title tweaking

This is getting out of hand now...
Not to mention bands changing their name (their old names didn't seem to cause any problems with their popularity beforehand though)...

This (supposed) "woke" nonsense needs to stop!

Nipped into a local supermarket yesterday to pick up a couple of items for dinner, and went to the self-service checkout to pay for them...
...it turned out that the previous customer (now long gone) had forgotten to pick up all of their change (£5), which paid for my items as well as leaving me with some change for my paper this morning!

Clue - their most famous song was an absolute peach...

OK - so, a "speedy" song from the mid-90's by an American rock trio...

We went to see 1917 last night - a very good film, the majority of which seemed to have been filmed in one long take (but had apparently been edited to appear as such).

I haven't seen Episode 9 yet (and, due to how well I personally rate episodes 7 and 8, will probably be unlikely to until it appears on terrestrial television) but my vote was for The Empire Strikes Back, with the original Star Wars as a close second. Return Of The Jedi was OK, but not in the same league as the original two...
The prequel films weren't a patch on the originals from the late 70's - early 80's...
Rogue One, however, I thought was decent. As for the dire Solo film, though - that was around 2 hours of my life I'll never get back again...

Fucking hell!
That is just my opinion though.
Go see it.
Saw it last night in the Phoenix Cinema in Oban (which is tiny, but a great experience nonetheless)! We're not usually into the DC Comics / Marvel franchise-type films, but wanted to see it due to hearing how friends and colleagues had enjoyed it - and we did!

Fuck extinction rebellion and their climate change Conspiracy. Didn't they say an ice Age from the 70s was going kill us all or the ozone layer disappearing was going to kill us all in 80s or acid rain was going to kill us all in the 90s. 2000s global warming and now rebranded as climate change. Al Gore said they'd be no ice left now and the ice in Antarctica is actually growing. These green movements are just end of the world religious cults for the non-religious.
Here here - well said! They feel that the world owes them something, yet do nothing but point fingers accusing people of their "wrongs" and post "influential" shite via Instatwit and Facegram...
If they did something constructive instead of bleating on ad-infinitum about the problems in the world, then maybe they'd be more worthy of our respect...

It is - it's basically the story of what Jessie did next, but also ties up a couple of loose ends plot-wise from the series.
