    The World of the Snowflake

I couldn't agree more - it's a children's fantasy story, FFS. As for Brooker's comment, I've never heard him complain about the title of "The Last Leg" (which he appears on all the time) when the main host has a foot disability... Hmm, double standards?

    The World of the Snowflake

This is getting out of hand now... https://www.google.com/amp/s/www.nme.com/news/music/one-little-indian-change-name-to-one-little-independent-records-to-help-fight-racism-2685507%3famp Not to mention bands changing their name (their old names didn't seem to cause any problems with their popularity beforehand though)... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-53180585 This (supposed) "woke" nonsense needs to stop!

    Room Lovely, Look You.

Nah - it's more "finders keepers, losers weepers"!

    Room Lovely, Look You.

Nipped into a local supermarket yesterday to pick up a couple of items for dinner, and went to the self-service checkout to pay for them... ...it turned out that the previous customer (now long gone) had forgotten to pick up all of their change (£5), which paid for my items as well as leaving me with some change for my paper this morning!

OK - so, a "speedy" song from the mid-90's by an American rock trio...

    Seen Any Good Films Lately?

We went to see 1917 last night - a very good film, the majority of which seemed to have been filmed in one long take (but had apparently been edited to appear as such).

    Best Star wars movie

I haven't seen Episode 9 yet (and, due to how well I personally rate episodes 7 and 8, will probably be unlikely to until it appears on terrestrial television) but my vote was for The Empire Strikes Back, with the original Star Wars as a close second. Return Of The Jedi was OK, but not in the same league as the original two... The prequel films weren't a patch on the originals from the late 70's - early 80's... Rogue One, however, I thought was decent. As for the dire Solo film, though - that was around 2 hours of my life I'll never get back again...

    Seen Any Good Films Lately?

Saw it last night in the Phoenix Cinema in Oban (which is tiny, but a great experience nonetheless)! We're not usually into the DC Comics / Marvel franchise-type films, but wanted to see it due to hearing how friends and colleagues had enjoyed it - and we did!

    The World of the Snowflake

Here here - well said! They feel that the world owes them something, yet do nothing but point fingers accusing people of their "wrongs" and post "influential" shite via Instatwit and Facegram... If they did something constructive instead of bleating on ad-infinitum about the problems in the world, then maybe they'd be more worthy of our respect...

So .. What Do You Watch On TV?

It is - it's basically the story of what Jessie did next, but also ties up a couple of loose ends plot-wise from the series.

  22. He owes me, and everyone else of my generation, a new Spectrum keyboard. - I still suffer the sore digits to this very day! I've been lucky enough to spot (and obtain signatures from) a few famous names from the world of motorsport, who I've met at some GP's / national race meets: Murray Walker (Spanish GP, 1999) - spotted walking behind the main grandstand... Juan Pablo Montoya (Spanish GP, 2003) - spotted at the Williams stand... Nigel Mansell (BTCC @ Knockhill, 2006) - spotted in his sons' pit garages for the Formula BMW support races... Colin McRae (BTCC @ Knockhill, 2006) - spotted on his way to the Porsche motorhome, for whom he was guesting in a support race... I also remember seeing Dustin Gee (Les Dennis' former comedy partner) walking about in Blackpool many years ago, while on holiday with my folks.
