The first series of Band of Gold was pretty good, but it was definitely a case of diminishing returns. I just had to look up Children's Ward as I was certain it was a mid/late 80s programme. I was shocked to see it carried on until 2000 but more so that it started in 89. I was certain I was watching it when I was about 9 or 10. Faulty memory strikes again.

Peter Hinwood, Rocky from Rocky Horror Picture Show, is 76 today.

He was in a Journey into the Unknown episode which inspired a Carpenters song. I think he may have been the last survivor. Strangely I was only thinking about him last night as I trying to work out who is still alive from Morecambe and Wise sketches.
