Irate Visitors Rage Here, If You Must.

Jesus Christ, no. Being Pastafarian, I support equal opportunity religion-bashing. I wasn't aware they were. What percentage are we talking about here? Probably less than the Christians on the list, but we've never been accused (okay, rarely) of being anti-Christian. Obviously not if you thought it was anti-Semetic. I'd have a word with Handrejka about it and she'll sort you out. Eh?

    Richard O'Sullivan

Well I think I shall answer too. I don't think I was the first to suggest you may be a man, but I was one of the ones who suspected you might be. This was partly because just before your arrival another dl member joked in the chat room about creating a female persona with a pretty avatar to wind up some of the guys . Added to my suspicions were that you would chose the Richard O' thread to do this and the fact that your writing style has something of the female impersonator or romance writer to it. It seemed you were trying to hard to be female. This isn't why I didn't welcome you. I don't care what gender someone is or claims to be. I just think anyone who comes to dl because of devation to one particular celebrity, be it Sandra Dee, Geoff Duke, Pete Doherty (remember Amanda everyone?) or Dickie O' is missing the point of the forum. If you write about this kind of thing then get a blog or something. It gets a bit dull when you click on the forum and find only one topic has been updated. Most people who find us in the way you have don't stick around but if they do I think they should expect some ribbing from the regulars. More later. I'm out to lunch now.

    Dead Drummers

I beat you to it, he's mentioned in the Dead Drummers thread [Posts moved from "Not Exactly Famous" -- MH] Bugger and I searched as well.

Number 12 - Who, If Anyone?

I voted no more hits, which considering my track record at this means we'll probably have a at least one more.

    Not Exactly Famous...

How odd. I was only thinking about Rentaghost the other day and wondering what happened to Anthony Jackson. Would never have considered him for DDP though.

Here Is The News - I'm Dead!

Went for Ludo but I think Sandy and Robert Kee are ones to keep an eye on too.

Updated to reflect the death of Pinochet. Also I'm taking entries from now until the end of the year. Details of how to enter are on there.

    28 Years Of The Deathlist!

The first I remember clearly was Violet Carson's in December 83. I have hazy memories of Hitchcock going and I remember a time in early 83 when "Close to You" kept playing on the radio when I was getting ready for school, which must have been around the time Karen Carpenter died, but I don't remember the death itself. It's odd that my other earliest momeries are from before that. I remember the Reagan/Carter election in 1980 and I remember number one records from the end of 1980 too, so I don't understand why I don't remember big deaths from that time too. 1984 and I remember loads, Moorecambe, Diana Doors, Bernard Youens, the guy who played Albert Tatlock.

    28 Years Of The Deathlist!

Funnily enough, I can remember it well about Cary Grant's death - didn't Jimmy Cagney die in the same year? Yes he did. I remember Cary Grant's death really well too. They showed a lot of his films as tribute and I remember sulking behind the sofa when "Father Goose" came on because I didn't want to watch another of his films. 1986 must have been the year I starting taken notice of "celebrity" deaths as I remember exactly where I was when I heard that Ted Moult had blown his brains out.

    Alan 'Fluff' Freeman

Farewell, pop picker He did look bloody awful in that recent Brinsworth House inmates pic though, didn't he? Definitely looked to be slipping down the charts. Sad as the news is, when I read it I thought: "Bugger, another possibility for 2007 gone". Then I remembered he was on my 2006 list so points it is, and Bod knows we need 'em at the mo. I knew I'd picked him somewhere, sadly for me it was deadpool2006 (livejournal) which is seemingly as dead as he is.

Where did you try to log in? Here? My dead pool or the manx.net e-mail? Your deadpool, on livejournal. Is it possible to join without having to waste what little brainpower remains after dealing with Windsor's withering abuse on coming up with a decent Username? Hmm I guess so. Have a read through the entries and you might find an answer.

So who are they expecting to die in December then? Or maybe someone is leaving, he must be replacing somebody. Ah. It was "Fluff". Anyone thinking what I'm thinking?

Ok, my rules for 2007 are up. Nothing's changed significantly but there are a couple of tweaks. I'm not taking entries yet but thought I'd post the rules in advance.

People who get the words to California Dreamin' wrong. It is not a religious song, he didn't "begin to prayer" he "pretended to pray" and it really winds me up when people sing it wrong. Oh and people who leave it until the last minute to tell you they can't come to something that you've arranged months ago. f***kers.

I'm sticking to my list of mostly oldies too. I'm not going to win anyway so it doesn't matter.

    Stranger Than Death

Can't think of any in my family but here's a bit of trivia . Roger Bowen and Mclean Stevenson who both played Henry Blake in M*A*S*H (film and tv version respectively) died only a day apart from each other.
