  1. I would also try to encourage Laura to join, were it not for the fact that I have it on good authority that she already has a deathlist account.

Ooooooh! Is BB Laura as well?

    No its not BB.

However his alter-ego of BC does have a link to this well-known deathlister.

Is it Iain, directing us to his posts on the BBC site by circuitous means thinking we'd all be really impressed by them?

At least PM me the suspect's name, cross my heart I won't tell.

ps I agree with the swell of opinion that non-apologetic use of the C word (by which I mean_cunt, wash my keyboard with soap & water) by a lady can only be for the good.

Can someone PM me with suspects name too please

  2. cut and paste of my resurve list:-

    Snip <>

Gwyneth Strong (only fools & horses) 66 very ill brain tumour

I don't believe Strong is even ill, let alone has a brain tumour?

Maybe this recent link might clear it up? Strong supports cancer campaign in Mum's memory

and she's currently touring and this interview says NOTHING about her illness.

    BBC interview with Gwyneth Strong

Me thinks you've got false information. She was acting in a theatre nearby & in the paper she looked very healthy.

    Someone told me 3 or

4 years ago that she has a brain tumour and all that time I've never seen it confirmed anywhere

  3. New York Dolls, Ramones, Talking Heads, Heartbreakers....

...what do they all have in common?

None of them have ever been in my kitchen.

    I don't think I know that band ie :D

I strolled around for days with a big ' I'm Six ' sign above my head, waving a home-made DL flag - but alas, I saw no sign of Lady Die.

All the kids in Taunton are probably still perturbed by the sight of a fully grown woman lurching around claiming to be six years of age and waving a fluttering Grim Reaper above her head.

Think of all the complexes and issues you've caused them- festering away for years in their in their sub-conscious, only to rear their ugly heads in later years.

As if they haven't got enough to worry about, what with possessing six toes and having to marry their cousins when they're older. I lived in Bridgewater for a while, so I know what I'm talking about, lol.

I once shared a house with someone from Bridgewater. I know what you're talking about too. It was good preparation for for my current place of abode

  5. How long before the paramedic whose arms appear in that photo writes a book claiming he shagged her?

Oi, stop throwing stuff will yer, I was only asking.

Is it just me, or does that paramedic look to be naked on that picture (he looks sleevless anyway).

You may be on to somethiong MPFC <_< .

No it's not just you. I thought that too. I saw the spooky face too

  6. People just wanted to be around her, and now that she's gone, she is truly missed. You can mock her all you want, but Carol packed more life into her 33 years than most of you will see in 80.

To tell you the truth I'd never heard of this woman until now.

She may have laughed in public, but I'm quite sure she was deeply depressed inside. Thus she got very fat.

The thing that disturbs me most is your denial. You claim that everyone loved her, shared food with her etc. Well congratulations, you should hold yourself responsible for her death. Being a extremely big boned person I will asume that, as many overweight people do, she craved acceptance. Here comes another sad fact, her friends were only there for the whole 'fat Carol' hypeand fame. She probably felt that if she lost the weight she would lose her friends to become just your average fat blokette. People clung to Carol for what little fame she had and in the end, it was that fame that killed her.

You call yourself friends and family? You may as well have stabbed her in the heart!

    (End of rant)

Agreed Windsor. I also note Terry's name was absent from those who looked after her while she was at her most ill. So much for being a loving brother. It's all very well claiming how heart broken you were at her death but what did you do for her when she was alive? Were you one of those embarrassed by her?

  7. You know for a daft little quiz, this has got me spot on

    You Are An INFP

    The Idealist

You are creative with a great imagination, living in your own inner world.

Open minded and accepting, you strive for harmony in your important relationships.

It takes a long time for people to get to know you. You are hesitant to let people get close.

But once you care for someone, you do everything you can to help them grow and develop.

You would make an excellent writer, psychologist, or artist.

  8. There is a two-page spread on Brisworth House in the Mail on Sunday today.

The normal faces were pictured - including Dicky O, who looks rather well.

However, Charlie Drake wasn't there as he has been poorly recently and was not at the Brinsworth House "bar" (I kid ye not) because he was "feeling unwell".

    Picture were:

    Dicky O

    Penny Forsyth

    Monty Morris

Lila Prentice (98 but looking good).

    Reg Brigden

Alan Freeman (in a wheelchair, had jaw surgery, looks rough and is 79.)

I might have to break the habbit of a lifetime and buy The Mail on Sunday now

  9. Yes he's definitely dead here's the Independent obit,

    http://news.independent.co.uk/people/obitu...icle1178593.ece

Oh, what a tremendous shame. :rip: I do hope he gets some media coverage upon his death, it's the least his work deserved.

In the I & P thread, we've already mentioned his body of work, but the first paragraph of the obituary sums up part of his legacy:

What do the following have in common? Bill and Ben's frequently uttered, indecipherable comment "Flobbadob" in The Flowerpot Men. The blustering Captain Pugwash's "Plundering porpoises! Jumping jellyfish! Harrowing hurricanes!" The urgent, on-the-edge-of-your-seat voice announcing Hergé's Adventures of Tintin. And the Daleks' menacing, robotic exhortation of:"Ex-ter-min-ate! Ex-ter-min-ate!" The voice behind all these television favourites was the actor Peter Hawkins.

He was also in my DDP top 30 for next year, as was the aforementioned Mok of Cambodia. <_<

Yes he's another one I was thinking about for next year. In fact I think I mentioned him in the ideas and possibilities thread

  10. Why does this thread have the habit of being locked? Why not just leave it open instead of fussing around locking it?

I've never seen it locked? Unless it's Bou? After she has had just a bit much to drink...

I can explain. My argument with Bijou was in the Paul O'Grady thread which was locked and unlocked a couple of times. Notapotato moved these bits to this thread so the Paul O'Grady thread was more relevant

    No I didn't. At least I don't think I did. I think I deleted them.

Perhaps someone else thought them worthy of inclusion here and rescued them accordingly.

I would have deleted the bits Banshees has quoted before I'd put them here. Mind you, I could have been pished.

Banshees, by Bijou I meant Bijou in The Queens Crown, with whom I was arguing and who mentioned the thread was locked. Perhaps I should start writing more Manx in here

Notapotato. I just thought it was you because I know you cleaned up the Paul O'Grady thread

  11. Oh, do women go for that these days? Dammit, I've been doing it all wrong. All those trips to the gym & the bank manager for nothing. :D

Not necessarily, OoO. One does need to fill a sashette. And there's a big difference between a sashette of polyester and a sashette of silk.

    Just trying to help...

    All sounds incredibly kinky

  13. Just supposin' someone in Maryport, lacking the option of a good night out, wanted to find that picture online....

Anyone care to post a link?

There used to be some on findadeath (that's where I viewed them) but I don't know if they're still there
