I think we do, but do we have the money? I think we do, but can we be arsed?
-
Surely that's deliberate?

The Women's Champion of 1931 was Cilly Aussem. According to this link: "It died on 22 March 1963 in Portofino." At the bottom of this page they mention Phyllis King "who - as Phyllis Mudford - won the ladies doubles in 1931. Her prize - a £10 shopping voucher." Anyone heard of her? It is worth checking the list of men's and women's champions for those who are famous enough but the trouble is that athletes are prone to being healthy.

Something's telling me there's something not quite right about that logic but I just can't work it out. -
A picture of the Queen attending Prince William's graduation on Thursday: ...and in 1982: She looks like the same person to me.

Would the primary reason for not answering be that you aren't interested?

Is that a bad joke or a typo?

Well, I was wrong.

Have any actually tried 'legal action'?

I don't reckon the Whiteley fans are really the sort to be found 'effing and blinding'.

He seemed like a nice chap. It's a shame he died so young(ish).

Here is a a cut and paste of the actors who have played the main three characters in Last of the Summer Wine: Peter Sallis (aged 84) Bill Owen (died 1999) Michael Bates (died 1978) Brian Wilde (81) Michael Aldridge (died 1994) Frank Thornton (aged 84) Peter Sallis (voice of Wallace in Wallace & Gromit films), Brian Wilde (Mr Barrowclough in Porridge) and Frank Thornton (Captain Peacock in Are You Being Served?) might all be considered famous enough for DeathList. Although none are particularly special actors or personalities.

"Damon Hill or a name like that"! He was only the last British driver to win the F1 Championship!! Nevermind. Wiki - Damon Hill -
I've brushed up the spelling. Does anyone want to have a go at the grammar? I'm not very confident with that.

So, what exactly is it that you object to? Is it the cost of providing MPs with the facilities to carry out constituency work ("their travel, postage, expensive dinners and 'employ my family on the payroll' expenses") or the cost of running the Westminster parliament ("the cost of the buildings, the heating, security, men in tights, cheap booze in the bars etc")? I still adhere to the naïve belief that my local MP is capable of doing his job without being on the take. Ho hum.

The 'expenses' that MPs receive are the costs of running parliament. It pays for the staff and offices and paperclips that they need to do their job.

I don't know why you are talking about this Josephine-Charlotte bird. She's not even from Belgium! -

At the risk of offending a nation, I think that will have to be "otherwise". I was looking through Schott's Original Miscellany and I found this list! SOME NOTABLE BELGIANS Jean Aerts - cyclist Jules Bordet - scientist Hieronymus Bosch - painter Thiery Boutsen - racing driver Jacques Brel - singer Pieter Breughel - painter Ernest Claes - writer Pierre Culliford - 'Smurfs' creator Paul Delvaux - painter Lamoral Egmont - statesman Audrey Hepburn - actress Cornelius Jansen - theologian Roland de Lassus - composer René Magritte - painter Eddy Merckx - cyclist Christophe Plantin - typographer Plastique Bertrand - musician Georges Rémi - creator of Tin Tin Peter Paul Rubens - painter Adolphe Sax - saxophone inventor Georges Simenon - writer Jean-Claude Van Damme - actor I like the use of the word 'notable', they're not quite famous. I scored 5/22 in the recognise the notable Belgian game. I think I did quite well. -
That's got to be cobblers! Edit: Wiki says its a by-product of the beer brewing process. So there! Pretty much the same, so 'thin' would work too. Or 'slight'?
