The first artist born in each year to have a UK no.1 single

In the US Wonder is the youngest #1 for a solo act to this day. He had his first charttopper aged 13 in 1963, 21 years before doing so in the UK! A weird year on the US charts too. Besides Wonder, the Four Seasons, and Bobby Vinton, every other charttopper that year only did so once, and in many cases they had no more hits period. -

The other day I saw a "5 minutes ago Mr. T just died" clickbait video in my recommendeds. Probably the same channel. Semi-relatedly, my recommendations also had an "oldest living celebrities" video that was mostly celebs in their early 80s, and used Alexander Imich as a preview image.

If I enjoy the song on its own merits I can typically look past the artist being an awful person. If the song is so-so or outright bad then it becomes far more untouchable for me. Inconsistent perhaps but so it goes! -

The smallest death of this trio may well be the most important to the competition. Motorcyclist Phil Read was a unique for gcreptile in these crucial final laps of the game, worth 42 points (30 base + 12 bonus). Is there more fuel in his tank as he vrooms behind Book? As I was entering the teams for this year, it surprised me that Angela Lansbury was a first-timer to the HPDP (at least under my watch), and now she pens a unique panto hit for Bibliogryphon. The points he wrote are 18 (10 base + 8 bonus). Last up is a Million Dollar Quartet benefiting from the death of rock wildman Jerry Lee Lewis. Fired up are theoldlady and YoungWillz with 30 points, chilean way with 20 points, and CaptainChorizo keying in his first sub for 25 points. The scoreboard for a small update may nevertheless be a crucial one, as the Phil Read unique for gcreptile shoots him into striking distance of overtaking Book. With Vicky Phelan in precarious health and Nigel Starmer-Smith another who could go anytime, it's certainly possible for Reptile to take the lead, but under two months left for it to happen... 1.
