What is this DDP game you play? How can I get in for 2010?? See The Derby Dead Pool and there'll also be a thread or two around here discussing things DDP-related. The time's fast approaching to get your entry in though, so get your skates on. Just remember that its just UK obits.

If you want to pick on old racists lets talk Sen Robert Bryd for 2010.

It's a shame... she had great tits in National Lampoon's Vacation.

...or like saying: "16-years-old French non-smoking virgin". ...or like saying: "French war hero". ...or like saying: "tough and masculine French guy". O, this is the 'racism, chauvinism and unfounded prejudices'-thread, isn't it? I don't think that saying that French beer stinks is a unfounded prejudice. It's a fact. But lets bash some frogs since you mentioned it. Victory...we don't even have a word for that. I have a french rifle to sell you...never been fired...only dropped twice.

When its time to shoot...shoot...don't talk.

She had the tumour removed in October and has no radiation or chemo. I guess that's a good thing? Maybe good for giving up.....?

Gene Barry died on the 9th of December 2009. So his name should be deleted as well. Removed, along with Vitaly Ginzburg and Samak Sundaravej, who died in November. I also removed a couple names of that had been previously discussed as healthy, as well as Maggie Smith who has beaten breast cancer. The only other big health update was Tuli Kupferberg, who is nearly blind and required 24-hour care. Now that I've done that, I'll be updating this list with new suggestions throughout the day and I'll note my progress in this post. Apparently I'm starting all the way at August 23... Edit: Now done. Today or tomorrow I'll put up the yearly "four categories" list for everyone to discuss/comment on. You are doing God's work (literally)

Want an inside pick without any public backing evidence in the press...William Schatner. The best look is to watch Schatner's Raw nerve. First 10 minutes with Regis that premiered just premiered. Chemo...Lung cancer...just throwing words out

Sounds good...I'll buy.

All excellent suggestions...none will be on the 2010 list. Try 100+ perfectly healthy people or pancreatic cancer people for this list.

Hmmm So the jury reckon she likes gang banging and she's a papmered American with a loose grasp on the truth. There's a few incarcerated Italian bull dykes licking their lips (heh heh) over their new found friend. Marginal suicide risk IMHO. "papmered American" not sure if you meant pampered or pap smeared (given the current debate on health). Either way she should rot in prison.

I think that the US should try to do a health care plan for everyone under 18 first to see how it works. Then you can correct any f-ups.

I want a 20-something on next year's list. Lohan and Winehouse come to mind. Any support?

When I was waiting for a heart transplant at one of the top US hospitals, there were patients from Canada and the Bahamas waiting for their yearly allowance to reset so they could get their heart. They do not do heart transplants in those countries (or at least not very well). I got my heart in 16 days and am fine. One of them died waiting. I don't pretend to know what will be in the details in the Bill that will eventually be passed but someone should make sure that situation doesn't occur here. I guess my point is the devil is in the details. Although the US system needs to be fixed, I worry that people think "Wow, if we get the system that Canada has then all our problems will be solved." Not so Much!

The question was why is there so much venom directed against ex-PMs and in particular Mrs T. In my case it comes down to her policies fucking up most industries north of Watford. The coal and steel industries were my local ones. It was indeed and I thank those who answered. I guess maybe people from specific regions of the U.S. may have there own specific axe to grind with certain politicians. Its hard to determine that from my East Coast US perspective.

Why so much venom towards Ms. Thatcher by our Brits? I'm serious in my inquiry since the U.S. seems to be more forgiving. Nixon's death was met with respect. Carter was a terrible president but people let him go about saying whatever. Teddy K was drunk and accidentally killed an intern. Sen. Byrd was a member of the KKK. Even the W will not get as much dislike as MT is getting. Although it does not appear that any British PM is liked on this board so maybe thats it.

Not any question of guilt in this case. As to the racial basis, there may be something to that in general. But his name could have been Johnny Applepie in this case and they still would have given him the shot. Tim McVeigh (Oklahoma City bomber) was lily white and they squared him away.

Frying tonight. Even the normally vocal anti-death penalty folks have been fairly muted on this one. Good riddance. DEAD

Attended fight night in DC over the weekend. Looked fine...even did some shadow boxing for the crowd.
