In a hospital bed lies Patrick Swayze, Wearing fine silk pyjamas made in Paisley. A bout of pneumonia? Or so says he, Man-flu more likely. God! He's lazy. So fear ye not Yvonne, I'm never hazy, He won't be pusing up a daisy, Neither here nor in the suburbs of Royston Vasey. Don't worry, I'm in work and in no hurry to give it up

Man-flu. It's always the bloody same. Probably a marketing ploy to get sympathy viewers for his new piece of "acting".

Benitez was given Coaching English Football for Dummies at Christmas; seems he has read the section on Manchester United by-laws and wasn't too impressed. ¿Cuál es tiempo de Fergie?

Things To Do While Waiting For Death... 2009

Learn to prance around with bells on, wield your handkerchief and generally look like a prize tit. -
Bettie Page died on December 11, 2008. Her name should be removed from the list as well, along with Leon Febres Cordero. Are you the sequel to Rain Man? Perhaps next time there is list making and maintaining to do couldn't we just delegate it to The Unknown Rain Man directly? I think he'd like that.

Probably a band called Winterset supporting PWEI I think, early 90s, can't for the life of me remember where, perhaps this is what they went on to become? It's all a bit hazy.

Do you think it would be possible to petition the United Nations, National Geographic or maybe that lovely man Mr Palin and his exceptionally talented passe-partout to make Britain the 6th (7th or 8th depending on your views about North & South America and Antarctica) continent. We are after all a discrete landmass which is more than I can say about our friends over the water. [/Tongue in cheek]

Are they trying to say that there might be something wrong with having the brain of Mr Bush or is he being used as an acceptable substitute for the more descriptive but highly offensive "moron / imbecile"? It's good to know that GWB is proving to be of some use, to someone, somewhere. And there was me thinking that he was finally knuckling down to learning joined-up handwriting and finishing, "The Very Hungry Caterpillar". There are some very tricky words in that you know. Yes, in the case of GWB, 'The' springs to mind... Remind me, did The Very Hungry Caterpillar eat potatoe?

This may well apply for the average life span of an American Veteran compared to a Brit veteran, however what i meant that in quantitative terms more British men fought in the war than American men, so consequently there should be more British veterans surviving to this day. Since the US got involved only in the last year of the war (1917-1918) as opposed to 1914, it would stand to reason that the US soldiers were a few years younger than the average British soldier at the time. A couple years makes a big difference when you pass the century mark! An 18 year old soldier in the last year of the war would be 108 now! So time stood still in Britain for over four years, interesting concept, I'd like to know more as it might win me a Nobel prize. Yes there were soldiers who did not see their 18th or even 16th birthdays before they signed up to fight on the front lines but there were still British lads growing up during the war who would have been conscripted in the later years. Likewise I am sure the Americans didn't just send the whippersnappers over. So no, I don't think your justification stands to reason. Sorry. Edit - Statisticswise didn't the Russians and the Germans have bigger armies? Thus there would be a greater chance of having more veterans alive. I hear alcohol is a good preservative as far as vodka is concerned.

Um execuuuuuse me, but the poll is intended to calculate the whole health situation of common posters here. What's meaningless is this your latest moan of nonesense. Any intelligent person would understand that "If you expect to live for fifty more years" you would only check that box and not all the others. It's not really rocket science. I'm sorry, I didn't know you needed special directions. If you want me to school you on the current mentality you have, I would say look up the definition for ignorance. Inform yourself. Ok darling I bow to your insuperior knowledge, please do school me, I'd like to see what you have to share. The poll can calculate sh*t all seeing as the responses are not independent. Um execuuuuuse me but I ticked ALL the options, what don't you understand? Hence there is (at least) one person saying they excercise but they don't etc... The fact that people have ticked multiple boxes (and they have, even a simpleton could work that out from the overall number of voters compared to the scores), plus the fact some people may have nulled the vote renders this survey about as useful as a fair trade chocolate teapot sonny. You need to be able to correlate data. Stats 101 would tell you a separate question for each of the topics exercise/diet/life expectancy, whereby you could only answer once for each question, would be a step towards the answers you seek. In brief, it's Billy Bollocks and most people with half an O'level can work that out.

This poll is utter codswallop. You can tick all the boxes at once, including contradictory statements, which naturally I did to prove my point. The results are completely meaningless. Technically if you expect to live for 50 years then you should live for 10-20 or 30-40 as well and tick those boxes too. God forbid if you only intend living for another 35 or 45 years. Just what is it that they are teaching pupils in school today. Un-be-lieve-able. I despair, I really do. Or should that be dispare, judging by the standards set.

6 of them one of me, I make that Pimm's O'clock dharlings. Who reckons this bunch of toffs will make it to the pole... Then again if James May and Jeremy Clarkson can drive to the North pole on GnTs with fois gras chasers anything's possible.
