The real gripe I have about the Independent's obits is that the link is too fecking long! Not enough space in the database for it to go in... Let's see who's watching: Ellen Riley! Wasn't that talented actress Mila Parély simply marvellous in Jean Cocteau's La Règle du Jeu? And yet so under-appreciated in the mainstream British press.

[mode = nerd] From that website I glean that 45 people born in the 19th century are still with us. After all, those born in 1900 were also born in the 19th century, for the same reason that the 21st century began on 1 January 2001: there was no year 0. In a jingoistic spirit, I'll have my fiver on Grace Jones to beat the Japs and the Yanks and take a surprise gold in 2017. All that nightclubbing will keep her fit and healthy. 1. 7. I read the streamer of that story as: "Remote-controlled squid lift the lid on the indiscriminate sex life of deep-sea subs", which sounded like a really interesting story. It turned out the actual story isn't bad either. regards, Hein We haven't had a squid sex scandal shocker in a while, so here's something on the frankly insatiable dumpling squid (Euprymna tasmanica). No wonder they're "short-lived".

Yeah, I'd pencilled this one in on the (slight) chance she makes it to 2013. I think the Daily Mail would see website hits from covering her death so she'd get the required obit. Reach for the rubber eraser. For the sake of cherished childhood memories, I hope Charlie Cairoli never got involved in the seedy world of clown porn.
