    The Dead of 2019

Yup, Peter Fonda is honestly a big loss. Love the guy; one of my favorite all time actors. We also lost Toni Morrison recently as well.

    The Dead of 2019

I see your point, but it's not front page news. Jeffrey Epstein's arrest seems to be getting a lot more attention that Cameron Boyce's death. I would think that the sudden tragic death of a popular Disney teen idol would garner more headline news, but again, Epstein's arrest seems to be the focus of most mainstream media. I would acknowledge that if Boyce died of either a suicide or drug overdose or was murdered, than his death would be rippling across the media. His death was due to natural causes (epileptic seizures) so there was no scandal surrounding his death. That's why it was not the lead news. I would think for example that TMZ (considered the gold standard of celebrity gossip and news) would be all over covering his death, but nothing from them.

    The Dead of 2019

Disney teen idol Cameron Boyce dead at just 20 years ago. Star of several Disney franchises including Jessie and The Descendants. https://abcnews.go.com/Entertainment/disney-channel-star-cameron-boyce-dies-20/story?id=64174031 I'm shocked at the relatively lack of mainstream media coverage of his death. You would think that given his very young age, and that he is quite popular with teenagers and kids, that they would be more news covering his death. Instead, it barely made a blip on the radar. Not even TMZ covered his death. And TMZ has given media coverage to deaths of relatively obscure people who just happened to have their 15 minutes of fame on garbage reality TV shows. Hell, TMZ has given friggin' media coverage to RELATIVES of reality TV personalities, yet ignores the sudden death of Cameron Boyce? One possibility why Cameron Boyce's death is not making national news is that he didn't die of a drug overdose or suicide. He simply died of "natural causes" due to a seizure and apparently has had medical issues lately but the family wouldn't elaborate. So there is nothing scandalous about the way he died.

    The Dead of 2019

Character actor Billy Drago, best known for playing slimy villains in many movies and television shows, has died of a stroke at the age of 73: https://www.usatoday.com/story/life/people/2019/06/27/billy-drago-the-untouchables-actor-dead-73/1581273001/ He is probably best remembered for playing the Mafia enforcer Frank Nitti in The Untouchables. He was also the main villain in Delta Force 2: The Colombian Connection as well as Papa Jupiter, the head of the cannibal family in The Hills Have Eyes.

    The Dead of 2019

Fairly big news out in the States. Film director John Singleton was taken off life support today and has untimely passed away at the age of 51. Singleton is best known for directing the gritty urban drama Boyz n the Hood as well as the action thriller Four Brothers. https://www.tmz.com/2019/04/29/boyz-n-the-hood-director-john-singleton-dead-coma-massive-stroke-dies/#disqus_thread

    The Dead of 2019

I agree with everybody's sentiments here. Seems that this year has been unusually slow in terms of celebrity deaths. Only real big names I can think of this year who have passed away are Luke Perry, Carol Channing, and Albert Finney. I guess Nipsey Hustle would be this year's shocking celebrity death, though he's not really well known outside of hip hop circles. Celebrity deaths though tend to go in cycles. Remember we had a lot of big names who passed away from 2016 to 2018, so 2019 is bound to be a slow year. It's possible that we could seeing a deluge of celebrity deaths coming our way though in the forthcoming months. Or 2019 will just be a slow year overall. Last time we had a real lukewarm year for celebrity deaths was probably 2000...or maybe 2007.

    The Dead of 2019

It does seem like 2019 has been a fairly slow year in terms of celebrity deaths...so far. But you never know. In America, the biggest celebrity deaths this year are...Luke Perry and Carol Channing. But let's not forget 2016 to 2018 have been very brutal years in terms of celebrities dying so we are bound to get a slow year. Celebrity deaths tend to go in cycles. We would have a year or two when we get a lot of celebrity deaths, and the following year, the Grim Reaper decides not to take as many of our beloved celebrities. For example, 2008 and 2009 we lost a ton of celebrities, but 2010 was kinda slow to my collection. From 1997 to 1999, we lost a ton of celebrities as well, many of them way too young (including Princess Diana), but 2000 was a lukewarm year for celebrity deaths. So it all depends.

    Ideas and Possibilities for 2020

Keep an eye out on this one... Actor and comedian Sam Lloyd, best known for appearing in Scrubs (a very famous television sitcom out here in the States), has been diagnosed with metastatic lung cancer, which has spread to his liver, spine, and jaw bone... Stick a fork in him, he's done. probably doesn't have a lot of time here left on this planet... https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/scrubs-actor-sam-lloyd-given-devastating-cancer-diagnosis-200754730.html

    Ideas and Possibilities for 2019

I predict 2018 will be a rather slow year for celebrity deaths. And so far, really only two marquee names have passed away this year: Dolores O'Riordan and Billy Graham. Besides those two, not really any real big names who passed away. Aren't too many celebrities right now that appear to be gravely ill, but Kirk Douglas is 101 years old and looks absolutely terrible. He will likely pass away soon. I also think Robert Wagner will croak before he faces any justice for the death of Natalie Wood.

lol, i'm not around that much.

    (C)Rappers

While I don't think Rick Ross is gonna make it, quite a few celebrities had very close brushes with death but survived. Bret Michaels Lamar Odom Lil Wayne Kevin Smith So it's possible Rick Ross will pull through. Doubt it though. dude's a goner.

    (C)Rappers

I don't think Rick Ross will make it. At best, he'll end up in a vegetative state.

    Thoughts On The 2017 List

Pretty decent list. Seems that all the "big" names have already bit the dust. My prediction is that the three "big" celebrity deaths in 2017 will be Bill Cosby, Burt Reynolds, and Val Kilmer. All of them are frail and in bad shape. Of course, i made the same prediction as last year...
  16. BCAlum2000

    Ideas And Possibilities For 2017

Three big names I predict will croak w/n a year... Bill Cosby (he's going blind now, plus the stress of his legal woes will do him in) Burt Reynolds (looks absolutely TERRIBLE) Val Kilmer (has terminal throat cancer) I also predict that a major young celebrity who's hot w/ the teen and tween crowd right now will die an unexpected death, most likely from drug overdose or suicide b/c of depression. 2015, we didn't really have any major celebrities die young (unless you count Stuart Scott, Beau Biden, and Scott Weiland and they're really more semi-famous than anything, and no, I don't really consider Bobbi Christina Brown to be famous b/c she had no notable fame other than being the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown), but we've lost young celebrities every other year.

    Ideas And Possibilities For 2016

My preliminary list for 2016: Jimmy Carter George Herbert Walker Bush Zsa Zsa Gabor Herman Wouk Billy Graham Nancy Reagan Kirk Douglas Olivia DeHaviland Fidel Castro Robert Mugabe Valerie Harper Burt Reynolds Sandra Day O'Connor Glenn Campbell Doris Day Bob Dole Val Kilmer Charlie Sheen Lamar Odom Ijoker) Bill Cosby (joker)
  18. BCAlum2000

    Ideas And Possibilities For 2016

I'd definitely have Charlie Sheen as a "joker" of sorts for 2016. It wouldn't shocked me if he did die of a drug overdose. Still think Lamar Odom as another outside chance as well. Burt Reynolds would definitely add. and here's another interesting choice: Val Kilmer. He reportedly had terminal throat cancer and has refused treatment, though that rumor has yet to be verified.

    Ideas And Possibilities For 2016

We (in good ole 'Murica) haven't really had any young celebrities died this year so far, so Lamar Odom fits the bill of this year's dead young big time celebrity. Well, I suppose you can sorta count Beau Biden (vice President Joe Biden's son), but Lamar Odom will fit the bill as this year's big-time celebrity to have died young of a drug overdose. Each year, we've had at least one (and in many cases, multiple celebrities) die of drug overdoses so Lamar needs to fill in this year's quota! 2007: Anna Nicole Smith 2008: Heath Ledger, Brad Renfro 2009: Michael Jackson, Brittany Murphy 2010: Corey Haim. Gary Coleman 2011: Amy Winehouse 2012: Whitney Houston 2013: Cory Monteith 2014: Philip Seymour Hoffman, Robin Williams (he died of suicide, but has had major drug problems in the past)

    The Dead Of 2015

Man, it's only the beginning of the year, and us Yanks have already been hit hard. We've lost three major celebrities (former New York governor Mario Cuomo, actress Donna Douglas, and ESPN SportsCenter Anchor Stuart Scott) in the course of three days.

    Biggest Death Of 2014

Definitely Robin Williams by far, though Maya Angelou comes a close second.
  22. BCAlum2000

    Each Year's Most Significant Death.

Most significant deaths of each year since 2008... 2008: Paul Newman 2009: Michael Jackson 2010: Robert Byrd 2011: Steve Jobs 2012: Neil Armstrong 2013: Nelson Mandela 2014: Robin Williams

    Deathlist Under 45

Three young celebrities I would keep an eye on: Amanda Bynes Edward Furlong Lil' Wayne One of them (maybe even all three) are not going to make it by next year.
  24. BCAlum2000

    Deathlist Under 45

Former child actress Amanda Bynes arrested for marijuana possession. Not a big deal in itself, but her behavior has been increasingly erratic and disturbing lately. If she doesn't get serious help, she's gonna end up like Amy Winehouse, Whitney Houston, Mindy McCready, Michael Jackson, Corey Haim, and god knows who else. Too many celebrities are dying young. It's the drugs, man. Edward Furlong is another one as well. He's head towards a path of self-destruction. Has been arrested again and again, been in and out of jail and rehab. He's either going to end up dead or he's going to kill someone. Lil' Wayne has had numerous drug and health problems recently. He came VERY CLOSE to death a few weeks ago. He was in a coma but for the grace of God, he didn't join Whitney Houston or Michael Jackson. If Lil' Wayne had died this year, the media coverage in America would have rivaled that of River Phoenix and Tupac Shaur. Lil' Wayne, despite his lack of talent, is very popular among teens and twentysomethings in America. I have all three as potential dark horse picks for 2014's Death Pool. Unless these guys receive serious intervention, they are about to join the list of "Gone Too Soon" celebrities who died way too young and under tragic circumstances. From Elvis Presley to Judy Garland to Heath Ledger to Michael Jackson to Whitney Houston to Amy Winehouse, will Amanda Bynes, Edward Furlong, and Lil' Wayne end up being tragic statistics, or can they turn their lives around?
  25. BCAlum2000

    Michael Douglas

Good for Michael. Oh well. I guess the tabloids will now try to zero in on Aretha Franklin and Chuck Berry as the next major celebrity deathwatch.
