    Deadpool Detective Work

Sometimes news sources discussing something upcoming will say something like "Markle has not yet confirmed whether she will be taking part" or "it is unknown if Meghan will be appearing" etc.

    Deadpool Detective Work

More reliable than IMDb for sure.

    The Dead of 2022

Should give it a watch. Pretty good show for its time. Amazing cast.

    Peter Kay

Equity magazine lists a Peter Kay in the In Memoriam section. I assume it's safe to say that this isn't THE Peter Kay? Though stranger things have happened...

    British Character Actors

The nuisance of Equity not making it clear who they're listing in their in memoriam section... Is British actor Richard Beaumont (wiki) deceased aged 60/61? It would appear so, but there are multiple people by that name on IMDb. *sigh* The actor played Tiny Tim in Scrooge. EDIT: Found this, which confirms it is indeed the Scrooge actor!

    The Dead of 2022

That settles it then – the entire cast of The Army Game is now gone.

    Roy Hattersley

Roy Hattersley (wiki), Deputy Labour Party Leader (1983–1992) strikes me as someone who deserves his own topic. He turns 90 next month, which is hard to believe given that he's been obese his entire life. Clip of him from 8 months ago: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bJ9bZpIOLTI (won't embed.. grrrr) Looks ok, still mentally sharp. May not bother us for another 5 years, or could drop dead tomorrow given age vs. size. A DDP for years.. picked by 10 teams in 2022.

People Who Are Dead According To Wikipedia...

Seems to be true. Facebook tribute here.

    Political Frailty

I don't think I'm going to bother with the DDP next year so I might as well throw this one up for grabs: John Letford MBE (wiki), Lord Provost of Dundee (2001–2012), turns 88 in March. Word on the street is he's been suffering from some form of cancer. Photo of him from June below (he's in the blue shirt). Noticeably he's lost all his hair. Controversial figure in Dundee. Guaranteed BBC obit when he dies.

    Roy Hattersley

As far as I can tell, yes. Still writing for his favourite paper in October.

    4. Dennis Skinner

I honestly don't think Lawson will live past 2023. They're both excellent punts for next year. As are Hurd and Tebbit.

    4. Dennis Skinner

91 in February. Not seen in some time (years?). I know there was a film on his life that came out earlier this year. In the trailer, it looks like they used an actor for the figure walking around Bolsover who is meant to be Skinner. He was too ill to campaign in 2019 when he lost his parliamentary seat. Seems a very good punt for 2023.

    Political Frailty

    A poor year for British MPs dying? 2013: 28 2014: 31 2015: 27 2016: 25 2017: 36 2018: 31 2019: 20 2020: 33 2021: 26 2022: 12 Seems way too low. Surely the press have missed a few?

    Summer Olympic Deaths/Dead Medallists

Wilson Kiprugut (wiki), first Kenyan to win an Olympic medal, dead at 84. He competed in the 800metres.

People Who Are Dead According To Wikipedia...

George Booth (wiki), prominent cartoonist with the New Yorker magazine, supposedly dead at 96. Edit doesn't look like vandalism, but there's nothing on their site yet (I suppose it is still the middle of the night in the States though, so maybe in 12 hours there will be). Mentioned once before in the Happy birthday thread by @Hell.

    Who are the immortals?

*which was created by you Just what EN Wikipedia needs. Another non-expandable BLP for a really obscure person known almost entirely for their age!
  19. Next wise idea @YoungWillz?
  20. Set him to ignore. Still getting notifications about reactions.
  21. Diego strikes me as a boomer who has just discovered forums.
  22. Referring back to the point I made prior, we shouldn’t all have to take action because of one user’s diabolical nature. Anyway, since raising it here, said user seems to have stopped (famous last words) because they’re marked as online and yet not liking every single fucking post. Not all heroes wear capes. You can thank me in my DMs
  23. Says you, having a rant (as ever).

    Political Frailty

I was very active in the committee rooms and overlooking the plenary in Brussels / Strasbourg. Don’t ever recall him making any significant contributions.
