You won't find anything in the media questioning his age, but then you won't find any mention of him in the media in the last few years at all. They seem to be ignoring him now... surely they must've clocked it's a big fraud? The claims of fraud (and that he was actually born in 1928) come from discussions on longevity-related forums. If you delve deep enough into Google it all comes up. Also, Guinness had him listed as oldest marathon runner for a while without actually verifying his age. After pressing the family for evidence and receiving nothing in return, they removed the record. Should've never been recognised in the first place tbh. In addition to Fraudster Singh, let's remember that Virginia McLying (wiki) is still around. She was born in 1917, though claims 1909, and danced with the Obamas when she was "106" (in reality 98), and you'd have thought the White House would've taken a glance at the birth records but hey...

No Indian politicians surviving from the 1910s now, and N. Sankaraiah the only remaining centenarian politician in India. What a change of fortune. India had a big list of centenarian political names just a couple of years back.

Done. Cheers!

American Christian social theorist and economist Gary North (wiki) dead at 80. A co-founder of Christian reconstructionism, alongside R. J. Rushdoony (1916–2001) and Greg Bahnsen (1948–1995). Demanded the death penalty for homosexuality, adultery, blasphemy, abortion, witchcraft etc. (sounds like Ultizer's average Saturday night out). Died in hospice care after a gruelling 5 year battle with prostate cancer. Judgement of god much?

American actor Ralph Ahn (wiki), dead at 95, according to a tweet from Karla LaFebre of the Motion Picture Association of America Had several Hollywood film credits in the 50s/60s (mainly uncredited ones), as well as later supporting roles on TV, including The Golden Girls. Also brother of legendary U.S. actor Philip Ahn (1905–1978) and Susan Ahn Cuddy (1915–2015) who was the first Asian-American woman to join the U.S. Navy. A unique pick on the DDP.

Mexican media now reporting. Cancer, hepatitis C and cirrhosis of the liver. Ouch. That's either self-inflicted or very unlucky.

Obit as confirmation.

You're the one always telling me I need to relax and stop taking everything so seriously! Also, didn't your screen name used to be "The Quim Reaper"? Isn't this a case of the pot calling the kettle black if you're taking issue with my crudeness?

Looks good for 94! Still partial to a bit of fanny fun I reckon.

Updated. @YoungWillz, birthday is 3rd October as per this post on FB, so he was 66. Presumably the guy on Twitter is just rounding to the year as he doesn't known a birthdate. Bandmate JC Carroll posts here that he died on Friday so 25th Feb... "Nick Tesco left the room on Friday after various battles with different illnesses. Nick had not been well for a long long time but he battled his disability and he never complained ."

Name Mr Nicholas G Lightowlers Birth 1954-1956 Residence 2003-2008 London, London, England Name Nicholas G Lightowlers Spouse Anna C F Cassavetti Marriage Apr 1988 Westminster, Greater London, United Kingdom There's a post on Tesco's FB from 2021 with a picture from his wedding day and he says "33 years today", so yes, this info is definitely correct. I can't get access to the record because it's NI, but at least we have the year confirmed now! Also, no idea what I just did to the format on my post
-
I’m not convinced. Everywhere online says he was Lightowlers, not Lightowler. Either way, no matches in the birth records. Looking at his Facebook, it would seem like he had blood cancer for several years so definitely a DDP miss given that it was all in the public domain. A&E admission pic from 2021.

Khorasani dead on English Wiki. No news results in English. I’m out and about at the moment, can someone else do some searching under his Arabic, Persian names etc? EDIT: IP address who added it looks dodgy. Possible hoax.

Notable Victims of the Russo-Ukrainian war
Ulitzer95 replied to the_engineer's topic in DeathList Forum
Not against this thread by any means but maybe you should’ve waited for there to actually be a single notable victim first? Otherwise this is all ideas and possibilities orientated… -
It’s already linked in the post directly above yours…

Of the above names, you'd think Bob Barker given how frail he's been for bloody ages? Before researching this list, I didn't realise how difficult (and expensive!) it is to get a star on the Walk of Fame. Someone has to nominate you with all the appropriate paper work and the permission in writing from the nominee. The nominee then needs to pay $50,000 to the Walk for their star AND attend the ceremony in order for it to be installed (in the past, some ppl like Al Pacino, George Clooney and Bruce Springsteen agreed to get their stars, but never booked a ceremony, or in the case of Springsteen... never showed up!!). There's also only one posthumous honoree each year now (this year it's been granted to Carrie Fisher). Unbelievably (in addition to Pacino, Clooney and Springsteen), Brad Pitt, Will Smith, Julia Roberts, George Lucas, Angelina Jolie, Leonardo DiCaprio, Prince etc etc do not have stars. One notable nonagenarian omission is Clint Eastwood! Definitely long overdue, but maybe just doesn't want one. Seems to me the whole process has become too complicated and has basically turned into a money raising exercise for Hollywood. (the next star to be installed btw, will be Benedict Cumberbatch, in 2 days time, making him the 2714th recipient)

Updated. Odd. Just hours ago I compiled a list of people over 90 who had stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame earlier (away to post it in the Hollywood thread), and she was on it.
-
I can only guess but probably something like "90% of respondents said "What's a yoo crane?".

No centenary in March for P. A. Thomas (wiki) as he died on 19 January 1995, aged 72, as per this article by The Hindu which interviews his daughter. I can understand why you thought he was alive at the start of the century – he has a 2002 credit, but it was for dialogue, so it's likely he wrote it years before and it was adapted later on.
