Whilst I'm here... a list I compiled recently. Male bodybuilders turning 80+ in 2022: Philip Spanier b. 13 Sep 1926 American Arthur Robin b. 5 Feb 1927 French d. 20 Jan 2023 (95) Ed Fury b. 6 Jun 1928 American d. 24 Feb 2023 (94) Samson Burke b. 6 Apr 1930 Canadian Albert Beckles b. 14 Jul 1930 Barbadian-born British-American Bill Pearl b. 31 Oct 1930 American d. 14 Sep 2022 (91) Henry Downs b. 1931 British d. 5 Aug 2024 (92) Vic Seipke b. 23 Apr 1932 American d. 20 Aug 2023 (91) Peter Lupus b. 17 Jun 1932 American Len Sell b. 3 Feb 1935 British Otto Acron b. 12 May 1935 Australian Earl Maynard b. 28 Nov 1935 Barbadian Red Lerille b. 9 Jun 1936 American Clarence Bass b. 1937 American Rick Wayne CBE b. 27 Jan 1938 St. Lucian-born British Tony Emmott b. 1938 British Joe Abbenda b. 4 Jul 1939 American Tony Holland b. 1939 British Ivan Putski b. 21 Jan 1941 Polish-born American Manu Pluton b. 7 Jan 1942 French Ken Waller b. 20 Mar 1942 American Frank Zane b. 28 Jun 1942 American Kirk Morris b. 26 Aug 1942 Italian These are just the names with English Wiki pages, so the list is far from complete. Many older bodybuilders don't seem to get Wiki pages until after their deaths, likely due to limited interest in the subject vs. areas like pop music or Hollywood films. Several obitable names in there nonetheless.

Obit as confirmation for Sam Lay.
-
American bodybuilder Bob Gajda (wiki) dead at 81. Just for @Gooseberry Crumble:
-
Taunting the Grim Reaper is never a good idea.
-
Hmm she had only been on my radar for about 2 years. First time she was mentioned on the Forum was April 2020.
-
Isabel Robalino dead at 104.
-
I gave the Charles Taylor section the level of effort it deserved.
-
Nope! Haha, I did S–Z.
-
Apologies @gcreptile, this one is my bad. Here is the photo I sent you. I named it wetzeld022..jpg, and the second "." being the reason why it didn't auto upload into its place I presume.

If only.

A unique DDP pick.

This thread is fine. Could've also gone in the Hollywood or Broadway threads given her diversity. Where are you seeing this though? There's nothing on Google, Facebook or Twitter?

Unconfirmed report that Nicaraguan-born David Green (wiki) has died from a heart attack aged 61. Spent 5 years with the St. Louis Cardinals, then one season with the San Fran Giants.
-
Tweet reporting the death of American blues and jazz drummer Sam Lay (wiki), aged 86. A member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, he worked with Muddy Waters, Howlin' Wolf, Willie Dixon and The Paul Butterfield Blues Band.
-
Various tweets reporting the death of actor John William Galt (IMDb), aged 81. Did a fair bit of voice work on video games so getting a lot of tributes, but probably more widely known for portraying President Lyndon B. Johnson in both Forrest Gump and JFK.
-
I've already covered Rock and Michon on this thread. Rock was definitely still alive in 2008, presumably in Australia. She doesn't appear in the Ryerson Index so she could still be alive. Michon I couldn't trace. I'll have a look at the others when I get some more time. Concentrating on DDP pics tonight.

People Who Are Dead According To Wikipedia...

Trude Feldman (wiki), American reporter who was a member of the White House Press Corps for decades, allegedly dead at 97. Interviewed every U.S. President from Lyndon B. Johnson to George W. Bush, before retiring in 2007. Here she is interviewing Reagan: -
My former flatmate worked as cabin crew for BA and said Rylan Clark was one of the rudest passengers he had ever encountered. Apparently kicked off a big scene because they didn't have a straw for his drink. He does strike me as someone who would be a total nightmare in real life – a bit precious.

I don’t think that’s the same person. No middle name, different date of birth, and Guth lives in Pennsylvania, not California?
-
Ah ok, I didn’t realise he was ill when he passed it. So it’s neither a coincidence or ironic then. It’s just a “thing”.
-
Still don’t see the joke.
-
That’s not irony. It’s a coincidence, yes. It’s unusual, yes. A lot of ppl get confused between these words. For something to be considered ironic it must break with the stereotype of what is expected to take place. It wasn’t necessarily expected that the individual wouldn’t end his own life using the law, so there’s no irony in that coming true. I know he’s a cunt @drol, but even SC is correct sometimes.
-
It isn’t ironic at all. @jcc has been listening to too much Alanis Morissette.
