Is that your own research? Because there are others. Fair, some are only amateur but a few other pros: Joan Curry b. 1918, is still alive. As is Frank Okey, b. 1919, John Pearce b. 1923, Boebi van Meegeren b. 1924, Geoff Brown b. 1924, Barbara Scofield b. 1926 etc. etc.

And now Manuel Santana (wiki), has died aged 83.

According to this, another member of Angelic Upstarts, Tony Morrison (aka Tony Feedback) died on 22 February 2021 from COVID-19.
-
Thomas W. Horton (wiki) dead just short of 102.

Merci Mrs. T! Updated. Quite the avalanche of hitmakers as we near the end of the year.

Telegraph obit for Rainbow George Weiss (wiki), aged 81. A Hampstead hippie who was a serial candidate for fringe parties at by-elections in the UK. Also noted for making prank calls to LBC with his neighbour and drinking buddy, the late great Peter Cook. Pictured below with Howling Laud Hope of the Monster Raving Loony Party.

Telegraph obit for Iris Dawnay, 98, who was the chief lady-in-waiting to Princess Margaret. Before her time in the role, she was an MI6 secretary, known as Iris Peake. She very nearly married British-Soviet traitor George Blake (1922–2020), who was often discussed on here.

Updated. It's weird to think that in 2002 there were more living members of both The Monkees and The Bee Gees than there were of The Beatles. Time changes everything...

Updated for the death of Ralph Tavares. 2 days shy of his 80th birthday. Ouch.

That's not a bad plan! Who's her publisher though?

I didn’t think they sold it in the UK?

Why are you using 2 accounts?

Honestly starting to think you have a thing for him. You bump this thread every time there’s a non-health related story about him. ”Man becomes father” isn’t news. I’m so bloody bored of the media obsessing over him. Then I go on Twitter and hear it all again. Then I come on here and get it all a third time from you Willz!

Already reported by another user. Use the search function before you post. That’s what it’s there for.

A recent spike in 80s deaths is tempting me to cover that decade in the UKSC thread. I may start it mid-2022…

Both!

Is French actor Georges Rivière (wiki) still alive? Some sites, including IMDb, claim he died in Cannes in 2011, but a search in the French death records returns no such record. The Georges Riviere who died in Cannes in 2011 was born in 1921 and had different middle names... He'll be 97 if still alive. His spouse, actress Lucile Saint-Simon (wiki), is 89. @Lafaucheuse?

Pftt that's hardly a "fall". I don't think he looks bad at all. I just question why he hasn't stood aside yet. I seem to recall shortly after Benedict stood down, Francis commending it and saying he only wanted to serve for a similar length himself. Well... Benedict was Pope for 7 years and 10 months. Francis will be coming up to 9 years in March. Funny old thing power and prestige... folk often won't surrender it, even once they're past their sell by date!

That's very cruel of you. Jabba the Hut is a loveable cuddly sci-fi cult favourite. Michael Moore is just a cult-like giant tit who lives in a galaxy far, far away. I do wonder who will go first. Moore, or his idol Colonel Sanders. I can't see Moore reaching 75. Whereas Bernie is "only" 80, and I can see him going on for another 5-10 years.
-
Yeah I’m dropping him from my list for next year. He may look like a corpse but seems to be stable.

Did you really need to quote the entire post again? Also, are you talking to yourself using two accounts? Created days apart. Not sure what the DL policy is on sockpuppet accounts but pretty sure @Paul Bearer has called it out before.

Lord Denham was so dedicated to the Lords that when he retired from it in April, I knew something was up. He was the longest serving member of the House (71 years) following the death of Peter Carington in 2018. That title now belongs to the much younger Lord Trefgarne (80), who joined in 1962 on his 21st birthday(!) Denham was also one of the very few people to have served in the Governments of 5 PMs (Douglas-Home, Macmillan, Heath, Thatcher and Major).

I raised her in the Detective thread earlier this year. I did a lot of searching to try and get an answer on her. The last mention I can find of her anywhere is in an article for the Aberdeen Evening Express in the 1990s. Like many of the women romance novelists of her day, likely used a pseudonym as I can’t trace her in the residency records. As you correctly said, she spent a lot of time living elsewhere as well so also possible she died in a country with links to the UK that doesn’t have easily searchable records ie Canada, SA, NZ or India.
