I’ll look tomorrow been a long day for me!

1997: Gaudenzio Capelli (b. 1929) is alive. I presume you looked at his Disney page and confused the retirement date for a death date. Antonio Bertini (b. 1927) – Could still be living but I can't find anything either way, likely because that's not his full/real name or he Anglicised it in the records OR he moved back to Italy and died there. Gunnar Mansson (full name: Gunnar Ove Månsson to be precise) died on 27 November 2006 in his native Sweden, as per official records. 2005: Mary Anne Mang (née Kranovich) was born June 3, 1933 and is alive. Her husband Norbert died earlier this year though. Tom Nabbe was born 1943 and is alive as per this year's records. William Sullivan I couldn't find a year of birth for but he is often discussed. I would say most certainly alive. 2007: Carl Bongirno was born in 1937 and is alive as per this year's records. It's Ron, not Rom Logan. I think it's safe to say Bertini is the only name whose living/dead status is questionable.

Interesting, but one for the WWII veterans thread. This one is for Nazi war criminals/and those accused.

That's a sad one. A DDP pick by two teams back in 2014. Should get a QO, given how many morning sofa appearances he made on the telly.
-
Particularly given that only 2/10 of them are still breathing. The “A Clockwork Orange” cast in general looks very bleak. You’d struggle to make a theme team out of that!

Statement from Walker’s Shortbread announcing the death of Joe Walker OBE. Died on 7th October, aged 83. Somewhat of a legend in Scotland. Grew the company from 20 employees to 1700.

This is why I'm curious as to whether TCM will include her in their annual tribute. She wasn't a lead animator by any means whatsoever. Yet I get the impression those compiling the tribute may think "111? She's too cool not to include!". Advanced age definitely tips the notability factor to a great extent. If either Norman Lloyd or Marge Champion had died at 80, I honestly doubt we'd have spoken about them much on here bar maybe a passing mention of their deaths.
-
I wonder if TCM will include her in their annual tribute in December? She'd become only the 2nd supercentenarian to make the cut, after Frederica Sagor Maas, back in 2012. Sagor Maas was also 111 when she died, but a few months older than Ruthie was, meaning that Sagor Maas is still the longest lived Hollywood name, and likely will be for a long, long time to come.

Tony DeMarco (wiki) dead at 89.

People Who Are Dead According To Wikipedia...

Herbert L. Wilkerson (wiki), U.S. Marine Corps Major General, supposedly dead just shy of 102. Twice honoured with the Legion of Merit. Veteran of WWII, Vietnam War, Korean War and the Chinese Civil War... phew! Here's a pic from him in November 2019, shortly after his 100th. Edit: Dozens of tributes from friends and family on Facebook so I assume true. -
He actually creates a lot of bios himself. He just really seems to hate lists!
-
A quick Google would suggest she doesn’t meet the criteria for one though.
-
Interesting that he’s actually well enough to travel to and attend a conference in Manchester! Also in attendance will be Barry Bostwick, Patricia Quinn and 2 of the Trannies (Christopher Biggins and 6ft 6 Stephen Calcutt). Any of the Trannies (or wider cast) that we haven’t heard from in years?
-
It's neither of those. He suffered a severe stroke a few years ago, and like many stroke victims there's a delayed response between the brain and movement/speech. I agree that he looks in very bad shape, but he doesn't look any worse than he did 12 months ago.
-
He looks like a battered bollock. He’ll be gone pretty soon regardless.
-
Njonjo no longer fit as a fiddle as he’s dead at 101.

The first off my Cold War leaders list since it was compiled less than a month ago! If they expire at that rate, QEII to outlive all of them.

As mentioned in the Deaths in 2021 thread, charity fundraiser Jean Bishop, known as the Bee Lady of Hull, has died aged 99. Picked in the DDP in 2014 so a miss. BBC obit and ITV obit. Her funeral notice gives a date of death of 3rd October. Her DOB, should you need it, was 13/5/1922.

Thanks! The whole thing took ages. Often hours were spent at once doing single letters so bound to be several mistakes in there. Any corrections are welcome!

Right... you were an adolescent/young adult in the 80s... You said "pop" star. My hunch is Jason Donovan, Limahl or any one member of Big Fun...

Report of the death of Andy Howell, aged 64, former Deputy Leader of Birmingham City Council. A Labour councillor between 1991 and 2003, he was also the son of Labour MP (and later peer) Denis Howell (wiki, 1923–1998).

Quick as ever @YoungWillz. Updated for the death of Morton. Given how big The Beat were in their time, I'd expect a QO. The Guardian did ones for both Saxa and Ranking Roger so that's the place to watch.

American former world no. 1 tennis player Budge Patty (wiki) being reported dead aged 97 by Swiss media. A miss in the DDP (he was picked last year).
