That really wasn't that fun.

Tomorrow's Daily Star. 90-year-old Frank Williams still well enough to declare war on the BBC for censoring episodes of Dad's Army.

More questions being raised about Matthew Perry's health in the tabloid press. Seems to be trying to pull it back together post-addiction by doing intense gym sessions. New photos in there which reveal his big weight gain.

What the Scottish Sun have carefully omitted to make this news is that Louisa Wilson died 2 months ago. With the recent deaths of Janet Mackay (d. Feb, 110), Ella Vlandy (d. Jul, 107), Louisa Wilson (d. Aug, 109) and Ellen Gardner (d. Sep, 108), Scotland is now left with just two people aged 107+ (I personally can’t remember it ever being so few). They are: Marion Dawson b. Jan 1913 (108) lives in Johnstone, Renfrewshire Elsie Skene b. Sep 1914 (107) lives in Insch, Aberdeenshire

Can't find a single mention of him on the Forum ever, which is surprising given his prominence and age, but anyway... Carlisle Floyd (wiki), American opera composer, dead at 95. NY Times obit. There's a big centennial celebration scheduled in 2026 for him. I guess he won't be attending then?

Businessman and fraudster John Rigas (wiki) not flying so high now, because he's dead at 96.

The Cardinals Of The Roman Catholic Church
Ulitzer95 replied to Pagad Ultimo's topic in DeathList Forum
I was aware of the existing link. I was actually making the point that all posters should share a link/source when they're announcing a death. Anyway... just 2 cardinals still alive who were too old to vote in the 2005 conclave: *Józef Tomko (b. 1924) *Alexandre do Nascimento (b. 1925) -
Richard J. Eden (wiki) dead at 99. There's an obit in The Times supposedly but can't access it because of the c**ting paywall.

Thanks for the suggestions. I think this is a pretty respectable list now. I've just discovered fiddler Violet Hensley, who will turn 105 next month, which in itself is pretty remarkable! ------------------------------------------------------------------- A note on Mitchell Torok though – several years ago, edits were made to his Wiki page by someone claiming to be his son-in-law to say he died of cancer on November 16, 2017 in Alvin, Texas, aged 88. There is nothing on Google, Facebook or Ancestry about this. Though I note that he doesn't appear on Clustrmaps in the residency records, which is odd (his birth name was Mitchell Joseph Torok). Somebody echoed this death rumour yesterday in the comments section here, confidently stating he died in 2017. The man had two songs at the top of the U.S. Country charts, and a #6 hit in the UK (albeit wayyy back in 1956)... he even toured the UK in 1957. Could he really have died off radar? EDIT: Just found this. An obituary for Mitchell's older brother William, stating that Mitchell Torok predeceased him! Unbelievable.
