    British Character Actors

Thanks. I’ll add Charles and Bryer later. Plowright was discussed earlier in the year. She’s never been a regular on any British television series. The Return of the Native was a made-for-TV film.

    Dead Pop Stars

Al Rappa dead at 94. Bassist for Bill Haley & his Comets between 1959 to 1969 (note: seldom on recordings and not on any of their hits – he was usually used for live gigs). Later rejoined various reincarnations of the group in the following decades.

List from 29/12/20 updated to 3/8/21. Possible that one or two others have done a Godfrey James and since died off radar.

You wouldn’t be able to see his birth date on Scotland’s People either, unless you order the certificate specifically, which is pricey.

What OoO said. Not in there. If he died in the last quarter of 2019, there's a good chance his death won't be in the GRO yet as many of the deaths from the end of 2019 still haven't been uploaded on there! Nothing in the England and Wales wills either. We're sure Godfrey James wasn't a stage name though, or that Godfrey wasn't in reality a middle name or something?

    Art For Death's Sake

Her own Instagram page announcing the death of colourful American artist, author and model Ilona Royce Smithkin (wiki), aged 101. Notably used to do portrait paintings of some pretty notable individuals: actors Keir Dullea (b. 1936) and Van Johnson (1916–2008), actresses Janis Paige (1922–2024) and Ethel Merman (1908–1984), Senator Ted Kennedy (1932–2009), playwright Tennessee Williams (1911–1983) etc. Later became an art teacher in 1970, aged 50.

    Ideas and possibilities 2022

He'd be a wasted DL pick for next year I think. As for the "reduction" of public appearances, I don't think it's anything to do with him personally. The LDS Church have taken the pandemic very seriously and they were one of the first religious institutions to tell their followers to worship from home. This is from 3 months ago and he looks and sounds great. Worth noting that he's older than Jimmy Carter.

I contacted one of the papers about it. They could neither confirm or deny it when they looked into it. The GRO Index REALLY needs updated. Starting to really piss me off. It's incompetence more than anything. Scotland's People is updated every few weeks with all the latest records.

Hmmm… maybe more so wishful thinking on your part. Personally never understood why she’s picked in the DDP every year. People don’t die on the basis of you wanting them to. Bryant has been a recluse for decades but crops up every now and then in a photo. Last video I can find of her is from 2013. She looked and sounded very healthy here:

Alfie Scopp (wiki) dead at 101 according to numerous posts on Facebook and Twitter. Depending on how quickly the media pick up on it will likely determine if he gets a QO.
  25. A month after us all complaining that nobody’s dying… nobody is dying. Pretty bad year tbh. 5 months left. Can see there being 3 more DL hits max. Maybe a couple of “global household names” but the likes of Carter, Pope BVI, Gorbachev, Tutu, Chomsky etc will likely see 2022.
