    Political Frailty

AFAIK, there are only 11 living former MPs who were born in the 1920s. In order of oldest to youngest, they are: Sir Patrick Duffy (b. 17 Jun 1920) Labour Lord Terence Higgins (b. 18 Jan 1928) Conservative Elizabeth Shields (b. 27 Feb 1928) Liberal Baroness Sally Oppenheim-Barnes (b. 26 Jul 1928) Conservative Lord Dick Taverne (b. 18 Oct 1928) Labour, then Democratic Labour Lord Bill Rodgers (b. 28 Oct 1928) Labour, then SDP Sir Bill O'Brien (b. 25 Jan 1929) Labour Lawrence Cunliffe (b. 25 Mar 1929) Labour Sir Patrick McNair-Wilson (b. 28 May 1929) Conservative Sir John Hannam (b. 2 Aug 1929) Conservative Edwin Brooks (b. 1 Dec 1929) Labour

    World's Oldest

Well the latter is debunked as you said. The former is from Tajikistan, where you’re never going to be able to validate with reliable records, so I’m going with “no” as the answer to my own question as it’s not plausible that either of those 2 will take the title. I see LongeviQuest have an anonymous male listed as 2nd oldest. More interested to know who that is.

    World's Oldest

Which means all 5 of the men who could have plausibly been older than Tinniswood have now gone, unless there’s any that I’m missing?
