    Art For Death's Sake

Nicholas Dimebley, sculptor and youngest of the three Dimbleby boys, dead at 77 from motor neurone disease. Times obit. Survived of course by broadcasting legends David (86 this year) and Jonathan (80 this year).
  2. Pfft maybe. Tbf my post is pure hyperbole. I can’t even remember what I had for dinner last night
  3. There hasn’t been a stable stream of deaths though. One or two notables isn’t really the same. I agree with drol, never known it to be this dry.

    Shadow Lists

It’s called a shadow list for a reason. You’re supposed to be shadowing the DeathList. There are 50 places on DeathList, not 55, and there is no “sub list”. If all 50 of your main picks were still alive by 1/1/24, then your subs are automatically binned and they don’t count as hits if they die subsequently.

Maggie Smith and Joan Collins are notably missing. Collins is fine. I actually saw her recently. No idea about Maggie Smith.

Already covered and discussed by 4 others users on the previous page. Someone this morning said you should be banned for spamming this forum. This is one of many examples. Pay attention to what other ppl are posting, and use the search function. If you take interest in other ppl's posts, then god forbid somebody might one day interact with one of yours.

Aye, but isn’t that across all cricketing nations? We’re only talking about English and Welsh league players in this thread.

His father is Richard J. Wright. His mother’s surname was Saunders. Using their marriage details and working backwards, there are a number of people born “Richard J Wright” in London. Most between 1922 and 1926. So I reckon his dad must be in his late 90s (or even older).

I’m quite interested to know how old this father is. Anyone know?

When you’re literally the size of a house at age 69 I don’t think there’s room for conspiracy theories about vaccines.

@Paul Bearer, can you do an IP check on @Orrico Monroe? Smells like an alt.

I never DM’d you then. That’s a total lie. You have never complained to me in the DMs about being left alone, on the contrary you are always looking for a fight. It’s evident that you’re an underager and should be banned, before you make a tit of yourself any further and before Sir Creep asks you out for ice cream.

What’s interesting is you’re not denying you’re a child. You shouldn’t be on here. Go outside and get some fresh air. And STOP DMing me. I’ve told you several times I do not wish to engage with you via private message.

Going through every single post of mine and facepalming it because you’re losing the argument is exactly what a child or adolescent would do. You’re too young. Shouldn’t be on this forum period. Go back to Habbo Hotel.

I never said that. I said it’s obvious you’re a virgin. You might get a girlfriend but even she won’t shag you when you’re lying there saying things like “hey, I bet you can’t guess who my third favourite supercentenarian of all time is”.

It really isn’t, and it’s very apparent from your childish responses and poor use of English that you’re underage and shouldn’t even be on this forum. You should have already been banned IMO and the fact you haven’t made mod preview yet is baffling. @Death Impends @Paul Bearer

Just updated the Wiki page for David Powell, after finding a death notice for him here. He died in Cardiff on 4 December 2023, aged 79. Played as a Welsh international (11 appearances), as well as for Wrexham, Sheffield Utd and Cardiff City. Likely would have received a national obituary had news of his death spread further at the time.

Charlie Smith was actually still alive when you deleted him from your list(!) but he died in November 2023, aged 93. Death notice here. Doesn't have a Wiki page but his Hugman's profile needs updated.

    Disc Jockeys

Gambaccini, who was close friends with Wright, has written a long tribute to him in The Telegraph here. "I last spoke to him on Saturday. I had no idea that he was unwell. He mentioned to me that he’d had doctors’ appointments but that doesn’t transfer to being fatally ill so I was completely surprised, as well as saddened, by this devastating news." Gambaccini pictured above in 1980 with Steve Wright and Annie Nightingale. Eep. He better watch out...

Diddy David Hamilton appears on GBNews now. He seems fine. I'd give him at least another 5 years. Pete Murray is ancient, but with a 2024 appearance on the radiography list, I don't think he's exactly at death's door either.

    Deadpool Detective Work

Apologies – it should have read "first woman to seek the leadership of a major political party". She was heard of at least once after 1968. In 1978, her and her husband, Paul Sawka were elected to serve on the executive of their local Conservative party (in Whitehorse, Yukon Territory). Newspaper coverage of that here.

He was the size of a house in later life and I always said to my mum "heart attack waiting to happen". If you look at pics of him when he was younger he was so skinny too. Anyway, RIP big fella.
