Apologies if already mentioned, but the search engine suggested otherwise (though we had discussed him several times in the past). John Clark (wiki), prominent British actor (and a child actor of the Golden Age of Hollywood), died off radar in California on 6 July 2023, aged 90. Played Just William on stage and radio in the 1940s, and was married to actresses Lynn Redgrave (1943–2010) and Kay Hawtrey (1926–2021). Mention of death here, here and here.

Think you’re getting confused with the Wurzels. oo ar oo ar.

Telegraph obit for crooked Lord Bhatia. Says he died on 12th Jan.
-
And did anyone take my advice and play him in the DDP? Probably not…
-
Nah, definitely won’t be her. She’s too much of a nut. He can’t risk losing because of a poor VP choice.

Karl Volkmer (wiki), Swiss sprinter at the 1948 Summer Olympics, died on 19 December, aged 101. He was the 2nd oldest living competitor from the 1948 Games, and the 5th oldest overall.

Anders Sandberg of Rednex dead at 55. Was a member of the group from 2001 (after their hit making days), before being fired in 2006. Insert crude Cotton Eye Joe puns below here.

People Who Are Dead According To Wikipedia...

Eva Grant (wiki), Turkish-born Greek-British photographer who was one of the only females in the male dominated glamour industry during the 1950s and 1960s, supposedly died today aged 98. Also the widow of Labour peer Lord Hatch (1917–1992). -
Since I joined this forum in 2008, Uga IV, Uga VII, Uga VIII, Uga IX and now Uga X have died. They should really stop breeding flat face dogs like English bulldogs and pugs for peoples' amusement. They're riddled with health problems and their existence is cruel – they can barely breathe.

Gus Wingfield (wiki), Arkansas State Treasurer (2003–2007) and decorated WWII and Korean War veteran, dead at 97 according to this FB post.

Born ~Sep 1972 according to BMD, so he was 51. Looks pretty rough for that age. Bad living?

*83 Died on 28 November 2023 as per death notice here.

2 years can be a few. I'm still counting this as a correct prediction.

Shit genes these kids. All 4 of them have had health setbacks. 2 are now dead. Wouldn't be surprised if Martin Luther King III and his homophobic sister, Bernice are dead within the decade.

Here's your answer on Wesley P. Dahlberg (wiki), @arghton. He WAS alive at the time of our discussion, but died on November 1, 2023, aged 106. Obituary here.

He's the 3rd oldest living on my list (born Aug 1923). Soviet player Natalya Vetoshnikova (born 1921, wiki) and Hungarian Márta Peterdy-Wolf (born Feb 1923, wiki) are still with us. I'm assuming that Adli El Shafei (born 1919, wiki) of Egypt and Earl Cochell (born 1922, wiki) of the USA are deceased. Would be great if someone could crack these cases.

Frank Okey (wiki) died on 23rd December, aged 104. Obit here. A pick for me in the Centenarians Deadpool 2023, but not a hit as nobody spotted it in time. Such is life.

Unless I'm mistaken, Laurie Johnson was the last living bandleader of the 50s/60s to have graced the UK Singles Chart. Truly the end of an era with his death.

Nathaniel Fiennes, 21st Baron Saye and Sele (wiki) dead at 103. A unique DDP pick and straight to a Telegraph QO. He was the oldest living peer. That accolade now belongs to Andrew Bruce, 11th Earl of Elgin (wiki), who will turn 100 next month (he is an alleged descendent of Robert the Bruce). Fiennes was also a non-affiliated member of the House of Lords from 1968 to 1999. Also a British Army officer and WWII veteran. Fascinating account "From D-Day to Bergen Belsen" available here:

John Tomlinson, Baron Tomlinson (wiki) dead at 84. Labour MP for Meriden (1974–1979), MEP (1984–1999) and member of the House of Lords since 1998.

James D. Hughes (wiki), Lieutenant General in the U.S. Air Force, dead at 101. Picked in some pools on here I think.
