Times death notice for Lieutenant General Sir Maurice Robert Johnston (wiki), aged 95. Mentioned at least twice on the forum before.

You mean Emily Richard?

Another twonk who clearly wrote his own Wikipedia page or paid for someone to build it up for him. If I wasn't a senior editor on there I'd just wipe the whole page and write "WHO?!" at the top.

Mark Flynn (wiki), SNP leader of Dundee City Council (and father of SNP Westminster leader Stephen Flynn), diagnosed with cancer. Only took over as leader in September. 63 next year... same age as Janey Godley funnily enough.

Karl Kohn (wiki) Austrian-born American composer and teacher, reportedly dead at 98. FB tribute. -
At a cost of £500,000 to the taxpayer. Selfish beyond belief. They should be made to pay that out of their own pockets.

Decided not to list out the the JB Seven in that thread because 1) the guide I used didn't treat them as a separate artist, but rather an alias of "John Barry" or the "John Barry Orchestra" and 2) the line-ups were too hard to pin down. To give you an idea of just how tricky they are: Original line-up: John Barry – born 1933, died 2011 (aged 77) Mike Cox – tenor saxophonist, living as of 2019 Derek Myers – alto saxophonist, no idea Ken Golder – born 1931, original drummer, attended a tribute to Barry in 2011, died off radar in 2012 from looking at the GRO Index Fred Kirk – bass guitarist, no idea Ken Richards – lead guitarist, no idea Keith Kelly – rhythm guitarist, I have an individual listing for his solo hits on the UK Singles Chart thread, real name supposedly Michael Pailthorpe but I can't find him in the birth index, birth year is given in various sources as 1935, 1937 and 1939. Huge discography but completely dropped off the face of the earth, could be dead? That lineup was established in 1957. It didn't even last the year, then from 1958 to 1965 there was anything between 20 and 40 personnel changes, some of them prominent musicians, some very obscure. Some of them didn't even last a week. There were a lot of complaints from the musicians that played with the group – they didn't like the gigs they got, the pay etc. -
Yeah that’s not accurate. He/she liked one of my posts recently.

Just as well Noel Edmonds took care of him.

Line Renaud, 96, WAS a collaborator of Piaf's though. She co-starred opposite Piaf in the movie Boum sur Paris (1953, wiki), so she counts. She also co-starred with Piaf in the 1951 movie Paris Still Sings (wiki). Brigitte Bardot, 90, co-starred with Piaf in Royal Affairs in Versailles (1954, wiki). Piaf also starred in an obscure Mexican film in 1958 called Música de siempre (wiki). At least 2 of her co-stars are still alive from that flick – American actress Tongolele, 92, and Mexican Golden Age child actress Angélica María, 80. Mike Stoller, 91, co-wrote the music for her famous song "L'Homme à la moto", but as she covered the song rather than originally record, it's doubtful as to whether they actually collaborated. In terms of people who duetted with Piaf, I think they're all dead.

Colin Petersen of course drummed on Don't Forget to Remember. Which you mustn't forget to remember, like Clive Anderson did...

Updated both the 60s and 70s Bee Gees entries. Cheers @YoungWillz. I see Geoff Bridgford, the group's drummer from 1970 to 1972 was interviewed in 2023. His age / rough year of birth still eludes me. Would be grateful if somebody unearths this.

Samuel Rhea Gammon III (wiki), one of just 3 centenarian U.S. ambassadors, dead at 100. Joan M. Clark (b. 1922) is now the last surviving ambassador to have served under Jimmy Carter who is older than him.

Agree Renfrow Smith looks the best. Not sure how you drew the disparity between Fletcher and Baker. They both looked okay in their last known pictures I would say, both verging on "slightly" frail.

Do you understand what “could be alive” means?
