This is going to be a coronation, isn’t it? Can’t see Penny getting the 100 votes, sadly. She’d be brilliant.

Fletcher Thompson died in September, aged 97. Obit.
-
That obit was published on 10th March. I added it to his Wiki page and the main deaths section on 11th March. He died on 9th March. I wouldn't call that dying off radar!

If that’s true then that’s hilarious. Basically an Elizabeth Warren type. I wonder how common it is in the States for ppl to lie about or at least exaggerate Native American ancestry. Do they think it gives them some kind of superiority over their peers if they claim to be descended from the early peoples of the Americas? Personally I find it a bizarre thing to lie about. Edit: Deadline report. The story comes from her two sisters who have come forward to try and clear their father’s name. Littlefeather claimed he was an abusive alcoholic and that she grew up in poverty, apparently none of which was true. They have also said the family is of Mexican and white heritage only. One thing I don’t understand though… why didn’t her family come forward before now? They must have been benefiting from it in some kind of way surely? Otherwise why would you keep quiet? With this news in mind, I’m going to scrub her from the TCM Remembers predictions. Surely they won’t feature her now.

Don’t be silly. Parodying a name is not racist. There are pun worthy names in all languages, English included. Most of the names that feature in the Moniker thread are western names. Also, can I just point out he was head of a brutal communist regime and deserves parody? We’re not going heavy on the Chinese people. They didn’t even choose him… because they don’t even get a true democratic vote.

I’d say she’s too high profile to die off radar. Also, she’s “only 78” ie younger than life expectancy. Best place to uncover info on these types is FB or Twitter. Worth having a search on there.

The Guido list has 72 named backers. It's obvious that there will be at least a couple of dozen shy backers. A reminder that only the proposer and seconder must be named on the list of 100+ nominations for the ballot. The other 98+ names will remain anonymous. I don't doubt he's reached the threshold now. -

The membership and the parliamentary party are totally different in their mindset... -

I do think it will be Boris again now actually. I didn't think the support amongst MPs was there to get him over the 100 line. Now that he's through to the membership, I can see him thumping Rishi. -
Yoshimi Osawa (wiki) dead from pneumonia at 96.

Doubt it. The needle moved as far as is possible in 2019 for a seat like Chester. The demographics are just not there for the Conservatives to win it.

Peter Lloyd OBE died back in August, aged 101. @chilean way A pick in the Centenarian Dead Pool...

Who says she won't go on to bigger and better things now? For example, perhaps she'll make an appearance in a future Identity Parade lineup on Never Mind the Buzzcocks.
-
OK.

Doubt it will be him. This is quite a common view:

Yes please. She's the only one I like now.

I've restored it to his page with a book source. It's crazy what's happening over on Wiki atm. Lots of users and admins scrubbing vital dates for being unsourced, rather than doing a 10 second Google search and copy+paste job to back it up. Careless arsonists. Alas, Wikipedia is lawless and even worse, what they're doing isn't technically "wrong" by standards on there. I think scrubbing information that isn't sourced BUT can be easily sourced should be against guidelines.

Sunak is very divisive. I would be genuinely shocked if it was him.

I'm sure he'd be humbled knowing that he constantly lives in your head.

I hear it’s nice there that time of year.
