Don't quote me on Parkinson's. None of them seem to know for sure. They all implied it's some kind of terminal but slow degenerative thing, and one said "maybe Parkinson's". You can live for a few years with these things, you can live for 15 years with them. It's not worth the risk of putting her on DL.
-
Perhaps but I’m not referring to that. The Lab ppl I know say she’s got something like Parkinson’s.
-
Anyone else read her reaction statement the other day and think “that’s not her”? Continually absent, always rumoured ill. I think she’s in a worse state than most ppl care to imagine.
-
Some fucking competition this is then. Modern day "potato and spoon race" vibes – everyone's a winner. Yay.

Depends on what their compulsions are. In his case, I'd suggest he pitches up in a tent outside Jimmy Carter's house and waits patiently for the body to be wheeled out.

Just because some ppl are obsessed, doesn't mean we need to be too. I would suggest there are other ways out there for you to curb your autism, mango.

A reliable source has informed me that Christian the Lion's other owner, the Aussie author/artist/socialite, Anthony "Ace" Bourke, 77/78, is very ill with cancer. No Wiki page but he will get a QO. (pictured on the right here, next to John Rendall who died in 2022)

EDIT: Wrong thread. Apologies.
-
Yes, and Liz Truss and Keir Starmer, cos ppl like to have rants that nobody reads on here. Still, two wrongs don't make a right in this case. There's zero evidence to assume she has anything that will affect her health long term.

Don’t even think about it.

Times obit for Lady Harriot Tennant, aged 88, who famously turned down an offer to be a lady-in-waiting for Elizabeth II (due to fears it would impact on her family time).

Gets a Telegraph obit. Copied it into the spoiler for all the Beatles fans on here

Two things: 1) CP is familiar with the GRO and I'm sure that's the first place he would have checked himself. 2) Short answer – no. There's no John Edward Salisbury b. 1934 in the GRO up to 2023. He was listed on 192 as living in Chelmsford, Essex up til 2013 then he disappears from the records. Could have moved to a retirement home, into a dwelling with another relative who abstains from the putting their residence details online or just voluntarily took himself off the directory.

He posts these on Facebook.

Another WWII figure gone. Off the top of the my head I can't think of anyone now who would have been known at the time. Still, others from the Allied forces who became subsequently well known like John Hemingway and John Cruickshank VC are still alive.
-
Actually beginning to doubt this now. No U.S. media reporting, still. Why?
-
Means that Martha Lillard (born 1948) of Oklahoma is now the last known person living in an iron lung.

Crossposting the death of Michael Culver (wiki). Guardian obit. Appeared in The Empire Strikes Back as Captain Needa. "Apology accepted, Captain Needa."

Strawberry was in the popular Simpsons episode "Home at the Bat", which was given as showrunner Al Jean as the being one of the top 5 essential episodes. Aired 32 years ago last month, and yet all the baseball personalities featured in it are still breathing to my surprise. Strawberry has had an awful record of health but has lingered on. Wade Boggs, 66, had pneumonia in 2020 but seems to be quite healthy Jose Canseco, 60, ex-steroid user, multiple "minor" health issues, multiple arrests and legal problems over the years Roger Clemens, 62 – some rough patches surrounding adultery allegations in the 2000s, now obese Ken Griffey Jr., 55 – attempted suicide in 1988 Don Mattingly, 63 – chronic back injuries during career but otherwise healthy Steve Sax, 64 – son killed in 2022 Mike Scioscia, 66 – now obese Ozzie Smith, 70 – seems to be in great health, owns a string of health clinics Darryl Strawberry, 62 – survived colon cancer which spread to lymph nodes and kidney, multiple arrests, legal troubles, drug abuse, and now a heart attack Terry Cashman, 83 (singer of "Talkin' Softball")

Interesting feature on the BBC today about Frank Foster, 91 in June, who is still an active FA referee! Mad watching him run up and down the pitch at that age. Also played for lower league club Bamford in his youth. -
I counted 13. I would suggest that the individual probably drank a lot before the 13 shots. Ouzo can be a very high % but 13 shots alone probably wouldn’t be enough to kill someone.

No, being obese in his 70s is.

"The first female artist signed to Def Jam West was perhaps best known for her 1993 single I Don’t Give a F###." Appropriately named as that's my response whenever I hear another rapper has died before their time.
