Van Patten will never be trusted again! Saints win 31 to 17 over those pathetic Colts. The Colts had the lead, they even went into the 4th a point ahead and then it was over! As it began, I knew that the Saints had an edge. Never having been to the big game before, it meant more to them. The Colts, as was their way in the final games of regular play, were too full of confidence and didn't notice the signals all around that they were going to be defeated. Ah, a glorious game! So a bit like this then? -

It's probably of little concern to most, but another language has bitten the dust with the death of the Andaman Islands' Boa Sr. I don't know why, but this depresses me more than the loss of Hollywood starlets to drugs or some such thing. Shit happens. 99% of all species that have ever lived on this planet are extinct. It's just the way it goes. Nothing lasts forever, including clichés such as these..

Oh yeah... I've been busy lately... OK. No time like the present is there? Number 3 in the Dying of 2010 is... Ronnie Biggs The Great Train Robber has garnered 227 nominations for 2010. Will he outfox us all again? Oh by the way: An addendum to my email from last night. There have been 291 deaths in the last 2 years, not 391...

It requires fame, much of which she did not have. Was she more or less famous than Warren Zevon? Or Lou Rawls? Or Sister Lucia?

I humbly apologize for my use of the ubiquitous lol, Hopkins' scourge. GP's post did make me actually laugh out loud, though. G-Force. lol indeed! I didn't bother reading the link, though. "his Jeep swerved off a steep embankment and hit two trees at about 8:30 a.m. Mentell was not wearing a seatbelt." Coroner's verdict: Death by stupidity. Windscreen 1, Brain 0. Bet his dad went fucking mental when he found out...

Hard to know how to call this, but if the Taliban do admit he's dead, then I can count him in... I'm assuming it would be an unnatural cause to boot! -

Yeah because we all know who that is.... Seriously, I'd put Roy E. Disney as the most significant death of this month. And I think his death would be hard to top, unless someone like Elizabeth Taylor died. Well, Brittany Murphy died last December so I'd say that her death definitely tops Roy E. Disney's. For January 2010, most significant death so far (by far) is J.D. Salinger. Awfully bloody slow start so far, but things seem to be picking up a bit w/ the passings of J.D. Salinger, Jean Simmons, Zelda Rubinstein, and Howard Zinn within the past week or two. I wouldnt be suprised if you were masturbating when you typed that out, such is your desire for people to die. Yes, it does sort of have the rythym of a guy close to orgasm doesn't it? Well the French do call an orgasm the 'little death'...

I don't see why, Vaagy. The DDP thrives without having its own forum. Mind you, if the Deathlist forum goes under, we're buggered...

But that's the thing. There always seems something rather contrived about Doherty. All this 'english' songwriting malarky for a start. He's the sort that can convince a lot of people that he's the real thing but he's only in it for himself. All this windswept dionysian nonsense is just to get into girls pants. Or to get drugs. Or to get lenient sentences. Plus his dad was a nob in the Army so strings have so obviously been pulled. He's a blackguard. Plain and simple. So he won poetry competitions. I once got an A- for a history project, doesn't make me A J P Taylor now does it?
