The title of this thread is not entirely unironic OoO.... I know that there are a lot of dedicated policemen and women who have to contend with all sorts of shite, but at the same time, there is a definite bovver boy element within the force who enjoy putting it about a bit in situations like this. And racism is still prevalent... But you could also point the finger at politicians and the various policies that are conferred onto the police, usually at the whim of a Daily Mail editorial. And as for the 'War on Terror'....

I think most people would prefer a what-you-see-is-what-you-get copper in Gene Hunt than the kind of hypocrites who bemoan political correctness and form filling but can be just as brutal on the quiet....
