    Big Brother

There is no way on God's clean earth that Mark Lamarr will participate in this sh*t (that I will probably watch) - I would pay good money, however, to watch John Leslie go in there and send his non-existent career even further down the shitter. If I am wrong about Lamarr, I will bare my bottom in Trafalgar Square at the next DL meet. So you's all had better hope I'm right. It seems that London will be spared the sight of the Bazaar buttocks, as Mr Lamarr has not made an appearance in the House. Reds are in, Patrick is not. Sadly. I can hear the utter disappointment in your voice, harry. Not just mine, Boris Johnson was already busy planning a one-day festival and tickertape parade. The Weather Girls were going to come out of retirement to sing Fat Bottomed Girls atop the fourth plinth too. "It's a tragedy for our capital", said Johnson. "We shall just have to raise Tube and bus fares by 26% instead". Well, I'd hate to think that London commuters will be inconvienced through lack of my lilly-white butt cheeks blotting out the sun over the Trafalgar Square fountain, so I'll take one for the team and do it anyway - when's the next meet, I'll make sure I've got my best pants on. It's probably all for the best LB, it's bitter out!

    2009 DDP

Pishflaps! Thought he might be a unique pick for my team. I don't actually know how ill he is. Last news I had on him there was a warrant for his arrest after he failed to appear in court. That's the second time I've shat on someone's hopes tonight! (DDT thought he'd have David Hart all to himself) Let battle commence...

    The Dead Of 2009

David Harts listed on Wikipedia don't - currently - include our croaking man. So, no CPDP points, then. He ought to get one for the DDP though, quite a notorious figure in his time, friends in high places, all that...providing he pops it next year... Well I picked him for my DDP team - only to be told in DL Chat last night that he was already dead. I can find no evidence to support this claim, so I'm hoping he still breathes. I hope that, unlike Phil Drabble and Steve Fossett, I'm right about this one. I might have to concede on this one, DDT - can't find evidence of his demise, so perhaps he passed away in one of my regular dreams about the heroes of the Thatcher years. Well that's a relief. I can concentrate all my efforts on tracking down Gerry Rafferty now. I too had night time visions about David Hart recently - it was dark, dark stuff; Arthur Scargill had sort of morphed in to Hannibal Lecter and was roasting your hero on a spit, using the contents of Hart's wallett to keep the fire going and feeding bits of him to Dave Nellist, Derek Hatton and Dennis Skinner. Someone (possibly the late Eric Heffer) was videoing events, so that the tape could be sent to Thatcher. If he had died, then he would have got an obit in the main papers. He was a key figure in the defeat of the Miners (or was it all in his own head?) Hart is one of the few choices in my team out of malice, as well as thinking he's going to cop it...So Basil stays on the subs bench!

    2009 DDP

Joanne Evans is a young British woman (age 24) who is reported to be terminally ill with inoperperable cancer and a prognosis of only having weeks to live. She is definitely in the famous for being sick category, but I thought that she was one of those low hanging fruits worthy of a try. Here is the link to her story Too low hanging, but I suppose you've got a championship to win back FF... Congratulations to DevonDeathTrip (AKA The Living End) for his fine win. Handrejka: That Suzman dying a day late was a pisser... I'm not posting my team yet until confirmation, but do I do it here or in the special thread devoted to such things on the main forum?

    2009 DDP

I'm guessing... Tolimir... was the last hold out? Just to be different, I've kept Richard and kicked out Llewellyn, mainly because I hate typing his name all the time. Toyed with Birch as my joker, but picked someone more certain instead. I'll submit tomorrow OoO, just in case I run into someone strange or unique worth picking. At most I'll have 3 uniques but, since none of them are terribly secret, that number will likely be a lot closer to 0. Haven't enjoyed this this much in a while... brings back memories... No as it happens. I've not even considered Tolimir for this years list. Last man standing was John Mortimer, who gets the consolation of being the sub. Actually, I may put in a self-imposed rule of completely replacing my DDP team, rather like the 25 replacements for DL every year. But that might compromise my chances of winning. Would make for interesting teams every year though...
