She's not the only one, William Hartnell, Wilfred Brambell and Arthur "Call My Bluff" Marshall have also all been included posthumously. Did these all count as instant "hits" for the lists those years? Sadly no. As GR has pointed out, those years were pre-interweb, so instant access to who was, and was not, alive at the time was non-existent. We addressed Ms. Davis' inclusion from the great beyond in an earlier post that I can't be bothered to look for. How long has there been a Deathlist website? The forum dates from about Sept 03, but was another website devoted to THE Deathlist before that? Anyone know?

A poor final, but I suppose after all the hype it was inevitable...

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HOT SHOT PADDY! Did you know, you were born on the very same day as this chap... -
I always thought Deathlist should be on TV! Ended up as a rant about Tori Spelling, which was pleasingly nuts, so he has my blessing to continue the Deathlist Show!

0. There is one fellow though, Dan Keating, who fought in a WWI era war, that being the one for Irish Independence. Keating was shooting at the English as long ago as 1919. Ah, yes. Oddly I landed on his Wiki article a while back while reading about Republican Sinn Fein. I may disagree with his methods and politics, but I have to admire him for standing up for what he believes in at such a grand old age: To this day he refuses to accept a state pension because he considers the 26-county Republic of Ireland an illegitimate state which usurped the 1916 Irish Republic. In 2002 he refused the state's standard €2,500 award to centenarians from president Mary McAleese. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dan_Keating Oh, he's 105, by the way! He's bound to get an obit. One for the DL perhaps?

Spot on. I also agree with MPFC about the parents. The enevitable sentimentality surrounding this affair should not distract from the awkward questions regarding possible parental misconduct.... If this was a chavvy family on a Benidorm jaunt, the sh*t would be poured over them by the chattering classes....

Hang on. Where have I seen that before? Ah Yes... -
There's been a few Diana jokes recently, so here's another one... Diana's in Heaven and is being shown around by St Peter. Not only does she spot deceased relatives but also celebrities, such as Einstein, Ghandi and Elvis Presley. But then, Diana spots a recognisable figure sauntering round, with slicked back black hair, wearing a black leather jacket and large sunglasses. Diana nudges St Peter "That's Bono that is! He's not dead surely?". St Peter replies. "That's not Bono, it's God, he just thinks he's Bono!"

All that talking to Alan Green and setting him straight I suppose.....

A drugs overdose You mention Sophie Dahl. Whenever there's any coverage about her, they always have to mention her Grandfather Roald, they never mention her Grandfather from her father's side or indeed her father who is....?

...and boy, he's going to milk it in the next 7 weeks, telling anyone who'll listen how great he is while waiting in the wings, Gordon Brown will recieve the most brutal shoeing from the press. By the the time 'Broon' gets in, the media will convince us that no less a figure than Atilla the Hun has taken charge and we all should run to the hills as the Brown hordes will plunder and pillage every nook and cranny of our green and pleasant land.... ...or something like that!

Well, not too happy if it's confirmed, but with American owner Terry Smith in the 90s we've got some previous with dubious types. Congrats for the job half done, Exeter. Hmmm, Morecambe or Exeter, two more places I'll not be trekking to next season...Griffin Park here I come! I bet the supporters are damn glad it's a one off game!

1978. Well it's about bloody time! Forest can wait another year. Apparently the fans are staring to grumble about their style of play under Colin Calderwood. Not in the style of Mr Clough I understand...

A lot of people in football will not mourn Boston's misfortune either OoO. The Titties pass Leeds by, which will be a relief to Police Constables I reckon...It'd be nice to see the Tangerines go up, when was the last time they were in the second tier? Over to you....
