Oh, you just have to be Irish is all. Peggy and also Rosalie is short (wtf) for Margaret, Dick for John, Bell (to do with the Angelus so there is some form of reasoning there) in place of Nora Noel but it all makes absolutely perfect sense in Ireland. Nobody is ever called by their real names. It was a tradition that the grandparents would take a new baby to be registered and would quite often decide in the company of the local priest that a child's name was too fancy / heathen / protestant, so would give it something their parents didn't even choose. That's probably why.

Lol thank you, please do! And I also always thought Walter was abbreviated to Watt so there you go, DL truly is an education.

I've just reopened it! Too good an opportunity to miss really. -
I think I'll keep it locked but put all my personal troubles, complaints about upper management, requests for new mods and general musings about having probably too much mercy for very bad previously banned posters on it. It's terrific. Feels like home. Watch this space.

Lololol at SC reaction I might just make this my thread. Unlock it. Settle in. It's sort of random enough for my liking. No cunto will find me on a thread about Chirac, great, that's decided then.

Cool, thanks, you know me, never one to go against the rules, ever.

at this. Sorry. Hope it's still locked bosses.

What Are You Listening To Right Now?
Boudicca replied to Joey Russ's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Nick Cave of ALL people with a happy positive love song about lambs, fluffy clouds and springtime in general is truly excellent! I listen to it a lot as it happens Much as I was a Mercy Seat / Deanna fan and anyone (you) who hasn't seen the collusion between him and Peaky Blinders really should do. Him doing that is a bit like when I'd go to see The Mission and they'd play Mr Pleasant. Proper showtune. From them -

That and Wonderstuff reminiscing on my 'misspent' youth. According to popular opinion, not mine. And what's this about The Damned having a new album out (credit to @Phantom) I thought they were all, if not dead, not that healthy perhaps, and possible candidates! They must have been living blameless lives all these years. There go my unique picks. Cheers. -

I think it was seeing the west coast and island on an unexpected side which did it. I usually hear the captain chatting about the Peak District so confused about the route that day. (Frequent flier, mini DL cons are serious business) And that one you've posted really "is" mad Interesting though. Also, for afficionados, Inverness airport ime is a charming glorified helipad/ terrific bar with great people even if they do always pull me at security. Must be the company I keep Once through it's fantastic. -

EasyJet, aye. Tin can flying gone from my app now. Saturday at three but delayed half an hour. Staff illness, runway closures in blighty, you'd know, but I still think it's insane to go to go via the wrong coast... -
Lord Fellatio Barry Marie-Jean, we're getting close enough with the DL hive mind. Bank details to follow.

I was flying from Inverness to Gatwick at the weekend, unusually not at night, and saw the coast and an island on the wrong side of the plane Captain later confirmed we were over Liverpool. I had no idea airplanes went in such mad indirect routes! You'd think I'd understand this after reading our resident expert's posts @Cat O'Falk for all these years but no, total confusion. Wtf is the Isle of Man doing anywhere near Inverness to Gatwick?! Waved at you anyway Handy -
Fauve (this dates me, Mistral's Daughter) oh and Audrina does too. Wouldn't inflict them on real people though. Rob as stated on the other thread, all sound, but most recently Cassidy. I'm not having any more children so if I have to name anything again it'll be a collie, after this boy in the back.

LFN-Marie. Sounds good Can you change it admins? Actually please don't!

I think it's something seventies like Lee. Lee or Mark. Or Matthew. Or John. Biblical. I'd say what mine is but then Paul Bearer would be giving out to me about dangerous data sharing on Facebook...

What you all need to do if unhappy is go back in time and get yourself stolen by the Catholic church at birth. I had a much nicer name after that happened! My origi-mother used to dress my brother (a royal marine of thirty years service) as a girl for ages and almost had him lifted too except she could prove he wasn't a she. I'm very annoyed I never knew the whole crazy crew of them back then because they sound fantastic! Even more insane than the dysfunctional family I was put with if that's even possible. It would have been great craic altogether.

Sorry for the late reply. DLHQ is dealing with the matter I suspect it may be a demotable offense

I'll be extremely annoyed if G.R Martin dies before he finishes the books. PM me Toastie and we can get together and send him fruit baskets and vitamin pills. He's not a young man and looks like he's over-fond of the burgers P.S I'm sorry for your troubles Roey. Remember you have friends here and charon and LFN who like you really so don't be a stranger. -
Especially when members of other forums decide to go over and make friends https://www.mumsnet.com/Talk/baby_names/2197937-Help-Difficult-choice-of-boys-names-Sean-Daniel-or-Balonz I'm banned (again) but thinking of making a new account posting for opinions on Zorders, or Banshees.

Oh get you with yer new fancy 4G North of the Wall saving folk from clicking links I'll be resetting my notifications about reported posts to "never" then! ETA Clare / Claire. I have nothing against the name but for some reason every lurve rival conquered had it and Fairground Attraction even had a song about it that I won't inflict on you.

On girly names for middle class kids I always wonder why they never thought it through: All rise for Judge Poppy! Dr Daisy will see you now! Doesn't work. I'm looking at YOU Mr Jamie Oliver. Yet another reason to have been banned from some other forums (and hiding his books in shops) but well worth it. Btw MK, there is nothing wrong with people called Rob. I know three and they are great altogether.

https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/jezebel.com/map-sixty-years-of-the-most-popular-names-for-girls-s-1443501909/amp Very interesting. State by state for six decades. Hollywood, Elvis and first ladies (ETA if you google back) being a big influence.
