Not a bad choice Gracie. I didn't really think he was so up in age though. He would certainly pass the famous test making one of these lists but i suppose as far as presidental elections go he wasn't the favorite compared to Bill Clinton. Anyhow he sounds like a good possibility.

What's the point of this post if you're not going to tell us whether he looked good or not? You should have used this opportunity to inquire about his state of health, thereby providing the DL committee with the knowledge required to include/exclude him from next year's list. Frankly, I am disappointed. I could agree with SFTD. We aren't here to listen to good news on a possible DL canidate. When we here bad menecing news we become quite joyus and we feel like celebrating. Otherwise if there's any word of them doing well it's like opening a christmas present and finding nothing inside..

I may regret saying this as i've said before but i doubt anyone will be shouting "It's Biggs!" anytime soon. I think he's more of an actor then an ill Ambassador.

If it hasn't happened by the end of the year then Saddam must be a certainty for the '06 list. Or is that cheating. If we get him on a list in the near future and he get's the death sentence, that category of death will be a DL first.

I could agree with what Tempus said. The Ronnie Biggs being so ill is overated to some extent in my view. I'm not saying he shouldn't be on the very high steep number 2 spot but i just don't think he is as close to death as everyone thinks. Let's face it,the man wants out of prison and he will look and act as sick as much as possible no matter what the media rumers say. It's a very unusual situation. I doubt the DL had a participent that made themselves worse then they were. In a way if you think he is actually fooling the DL. Perhaps Biggs belongs in the number 25 spot?
