"Slow clapping" .. as a legend is killed off. Scream, the long contributing veteran who has changed with the times but remains in full swing swing will not analyze these awards. Vintage Scream would have analyzed them but frankly he doesn't care. "He stands up and walks out of the room"

Devon, If it weren't for your influence this deadpool wouldn't exist at the capacity of which it does today. You gathered and built that team last year. DDP 2008 was your heyday and you ruled the scoreboard. You were the Master Mind. Congratulations.

I'm sorry you feel that way, Terminator. If you want to hate you can go ahead and hate. It keeps my ego alive. It motivates me to continue and I very much doubt that I'll be entering that deep sleep anytime soon.

John Travolta is actually moving down the block from one of my family members. They live close to one of the most wealthiest areas in the US which is located somewhere in New Jersey. There are many celebrities in that area.

I don't see Godot's Waiting List. You've previously hinted that your demise is on the horizon and I was trying to state the obvious. Were you exaggerating? What's the situation. I don't care if you go or not but the death of a regular never benefits the forum. Are we talking a couple months or is Godot history after he presents the bullshit award cermony. It will be depressing to see you go.

I'll always remember Ravi Shankar for his complaints at Bangladesh. "No shmoking' .. and everybody was stoned at that concert. There weren't any rules. Nobody listened to him. It was a free for all.

It's more then a feeling. They slip away just when you aren't looking. A DL members contract is about to expire and reaching a deal which would promise his continuence is highly unlikely. The end is near. The guilt disease is rapidly spreading and it's safe to say that he is in the advanced stages. He is approaching his final show down. The glass is empty and the cigar is burning out. Life doesn't want to share. Life is waiting for Godot. Ring down the curtain. We applaud "clap clap" .. and you fade away. If your going to go out make sure you go out with a bang.

It's about the standards he sets for himself. Life should be about living even if it really isn't. I was watching an episode of the Twilight Zone last night and it revolved around age and how human beings submit themselves to be older then they actually are. One is only as old as they believe themselves to be ..

It was initially my suggestion back in October and she's as obscure as it gets. I labeled her as valuable at the time but it didn't take very long for that story to fade away. It's a gamble with a cost. It's 27 if it works out and I'm hoping she turns out to be a weapon in my favour... Good Luck.

Former US Senator Clairborne Pell, 90, is suffering from advanced parkinson's disease. Wikipedia claims he is one of the most popular US Senator's of the 20th century and he served as Senator for nearly forty years. I originally had other plans for him but since DL has had US politicians in the past I believe Pell to be a strong choice. Here is a picture from two or three years ago. Who's Basil D' Oliveira again?
-
Bad move. He died shortly after midnight today. Pell, you could just tell. He was a strong choice and this is what the committee gets when you don't listen to the Master Mind. I offered him to Deathlist since I didn't have the space. Leaving him off my DDP team was one mistake and believe me I don't think I'll make many.

I wish all of my opponents the best of luck. Now let's have the raffles of the dead roll... Well, Ben Affleck describes Mr. Steinbrenner as "the center of evil in the universe". I realize some of our members may not be very familiar with this man but let's just say he is a Mastermind who brought ten pennants to the Yankees along with six World Series titles. The bottom line is that he passes the fame test even as his death is certainly a gamblers game.

f**k the Phillies. If you feel inclined to be a front runner just become a Yankee fan because they have finally developed some young talent who have potential. They also just bought three top players who's salaries are worth 293 million combined. Although I'm a Jamie Moyer fan because he is 46, a location arm, and he just signed a two year deal which is ridiculous. He made his debut in 1986. Anyway, this is off topic but it's just conversation in the meantime until somebody drops dead. I'm going out and it's time to open up some more champaign.
-
I'm content with the decisions made by the committee. Al Megrahi fits the criteria to be in the second slot (even as I would have never guessed this) and what is most shocking is the amount of terminal illness compiled on here. The best part of it is the committee screwed everybody out of their opinions. Swayze wasn't headlining anything.
-
Happy New Years everybody. Enjoy the champaign or whatever you prefer. I'm looking forward to a full year and I even plan on meeting some goals that I've set for myself. I'll definitely be here at around 7 PM sharp for my first New Years celebration of the night.

Seen Any Good Films Lately?
Banshees Scream replied to Cowboy Ronnie's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I went to go see "Grand Torino" the other night with Clint Eastwood and I thought it was a solid four stars. It was vintage Eastwood. He excelled at playing an aging war veteran who despised Asians but loved their cuisine. I heard it might be his last film but I'm hoping he returns in a similar role at some point in the future. It's worth seeing. It was vintage Eastwood. -
I'm eager to announce that Master Mind 2009 was entered a few days ago. I stand very confident in my teams performance and I'm aiming at my first DDP championship. I would also be the first modern American to win the competition. I'm anticipating the quality in other teams that my rivals have created and I look forward to seeing what they got.

The Deathlist Christmas Special!
Banshees Scream replied to Lady Die's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
It's Christmas time once again. Our hearts grow warmer and the outside weather grows colder. I stop going outside and a vision of the new year burns within. People are aggressive shoppers at this time of year and all those orderves don't pay off when they step on that scale New Years morning. It's the best time of the year. It's the giving season. Deadpoolers are gathering up names and people are exchanging gifts of all different shapes and prices. Some prefer the Turkey and I prefer the Italian meal. Some drink responsibly and others don't get home safely. (Let's behave) In 2008, we saw the first black president elected and we saw Fidel Castro resign. We saw the deaths of actors such as Charlton Heston and Paul Newman and Heath Ledger and the great comedian George Carlin and that's just naming a few. The list really hits the floor and we lost some good ones. I'll close this post with reminding all of you that as we approach the final days and hours and minutes of 2008 we should look back at how we existed in this good year and how we can manage to create a better version of ourselves for the future.. Merry Christmas everyone. I'm out. I'll be back in circulation on New Years Eve. ' -
Well, I think her health situation fits the DL criteria. She might only have a 50\50 shot of dying but that's the expectations most candidates have. If they all had the prognosis of Patrick Swayze it would all be perceived as very boring.

Dead Peter Falk Is Suffering From Alzheimer's Disease
Banshees Scream replied to DevonDeathTrip's topic in DeathList Forum
Should be a top prospect for DL 2009. I really don't have the falkin room for him on my DDP team but I'll have plenty of Alzheimers selections anyway so I'm not losing any sleep over it... -
You are a very skilled analysist. All of the names are in their proper categories and it's very generous of you to exhibit this for all to study. I was going to do it the other night but I figured that I would wait. It's pretty accurate.

So .. What Do You Watch On TV?
Banshees Scream replied to Banshees Scream's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
The legendary Bruno Brimley. I admit that myself and others never fail to find your observations of life both comical and amusing. Once upon a time this forum had an attitude to it. It had personalities. I'm not saying that we still do not have contributers who operate on many different levels but this this forum is certainly lacking character. If Deathlist was a TV show it would be lower in the ratings than it was two years ago. People have changed the channel around here. Me, I live. Yes, I've changed throughout the years. I'm getting older and older all of time. You know, someday the show might get cancelled. Someday that screen might go blank. For now, it continues. -
President (recumbent) Barack Obama
Banshees Scream replied to Boudicca's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
No, not at all. I just didn't expect Bevel to live so long. I also thought pancreatic cancer was a suitable punishment for the crimes he committed. If he were still living he would still be on there. Everything is always bound to change. Susan Atkins will probably be the next to go. -
President (recumbent) Barack Obama
Banshees Scream replied to Boudicca's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
Ann Nixon Cooper, 106, was the woman named in Barack Obama's acceptance speech back on November 4th. Obama used her lifespan as an example of one who lived to see some of the most dramatic changes in society durning the passed century or so. She will get the recognition if somebody wants to take a chance on her. You might get her as a ghost pick.
