'Levi Stubbs' (Common name) is one of the high rated prostate cancer selections this year and he was one of my last cuts for DDP. It's a positive that Bo Diddley and Fats Domino were also selected, if we got two out of three it wouldn't shock me.

Pollack brings the real gamble into Deathlist this year since I expect when 'or If' he dies it will be rude and sudden. In reality he is like my second Joker for DDP.

Hey Alph, Don't let this ruin your holiday. Look on the bright side of everything and say 'now I'm unemployed' for a short time I can splurge in enjoyable activities which I couldn't possibly have been active in if I were still employed. Now you get to have a fresh start somewhere else and you must accept that not everybody thinks along the same levels as you nor are they patient or intellectual enough to see a situation as it really is. Misunderstandings have played a role in my life and everybody will come to a point where they have to deal with misunderstandings. It's unfortunate but look at what you gain instead of what you lose. Look for where you can claim a new job while you are having fun. Take advantage of this unfortunate outcome and make it fortunate. Life is to short to let issues like this take a toll. If it makes you feel any better send them a New Years f**k you card. I actually don't know if that is the answer but .. at least it's a form of revenge. My advice is golden if you can financially handle being unemployed for a month or so.

Ideas And Possibilities For 2009
Banshees Scream replied to Anubis the Jackal's topic in DeathList Forum
I get how the Ideas and Possibilities are necessary for 2009 but when it's just New Years Eve my attitude is almost 'put it away' you know what I mean? If I had to make some off the board gambles it would probably be The Pope or something. Maybe Oprah's flight goes down or maybe something will happen to Kim Jong-il. I know many Jazz and blues men along with drummers will be croaking but who knows? By then American Idol and only by prayer may American Idol contestants be in style. It's so difficult to contradict at this point. This might be the year of Clive Dunn. Let's start this discussion by who is going to commit suicide in 2009? I have bids on Brittaney Spears. -
For DDP you really need to go out of the ball park to make the right selections. I read Nusrat Buhtto did in fact attend her daughters funeral and for me 'her being generally on the younger side' was not included on my list for those reasons. It 'might be a big mistake' but the more active I see a individual is the less likely of a chance I could see in including them. Jack Ramsay was recently in some sort of NBA voting, not that it takes the cancer out of his body but it shows he is still active and being not completely convinced that he was going to consume the so called required 'BBC Obituary' I also left him off. Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Levi Stubbs, both prostate cancer gambles are also very risky. Atal celebrated his eighty third birthday the other day and by a recent photo he definitely didn't give me the impression he was going to fulfill the purpose if you get what I'm saying. Samar Mubarakmand who is a Pakistani nuclear scientist has intestinal cancer and since Canadian Paul failed to list him I thought he could possibly be a unique pick but after fast forwarding to the aftermath of everything I realized that chances are the odds of him getting the qualified obituary were slimmer then Mary Kate Olson was about two years ago. Tony Snow is planning a sh*t load of speeches next year and even as he might be worth listing I decided against that possibility. Shi Ming teh is another who I did not list, since the source supporting his lung cancer wasn't valid enough for me - especially since his Wikipedia is anti - information on his health. Fehmi Naji and Derryn Hinch and Ronnie Drew are all very active and at this point their conditions seem stable so they didn't qualify either. I did list Philip Jones Griffiths but to be dead honest I've only read '1 ARTICLE' supporting the facts that he has lung cancer. I'm forcing myself to believe that he just really keeps it on the down low. All I can say is he better not be f****n running in any New York Marathon!!! I'm inclined to think both Abdullah Oscalan and Zdravko Tolimir are both very overrated - but Tolimir still might be on the decline but making rapid transitions towards the end I also excluded him from my list. I don't believe Princess Galyani Vadhana 'Who doesn't have very long' or Don Wittman will receive the essential obituary. This is my complete analysis on the Ideas and Possibilities for 2008. These are the names I mainly did not include for various reasons. I'm confident that I'm right and now I say let the raffles of the dead roll.....

Most Significant Death For Every Year From 1963 To Present
Banshees Scream replied to chicago103's topic in DeathList Forum
O really? The word you choose to use is Americentric? Well explain to me what other major celebrity in the UK dropped dead six months after their son who was twenty years younger and which exploited a major trial over their new born which attracted several false father figures - some of them completely random individuals. O and it occupied most major news sources for a solid two months. Benazir Bhutto was a significant tragedy in Pakistan and it only complicates everything there but understand that she was warned at all limits and she took the possibility of assassination in her own mind as being very probable. Her quote reads in this video' These are risks I have to take' 'And I am prepared to take them' http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2007/12/27/v...ut_n_78426.html Her death is significant but not the most significant. Even Maryportfuncity suggested her as a prime possibility 24 hours before she was killed. It wasn't obvious but it sure as hell wasn't one great big surprise. Now the next time you choose to rant a little scum bag remark like that don't forget to log in. -
Most Significant Death For Every Year From 1963 To Present
Banshees Scream replied to chicago103's topic in DeathList Forum
Talking significance of death the all time greatest of the year is very difficult to vocalize but even with Luciano Paverotti being a big deal along with Yeltsin and of course 'to mention' Tammy Faye who was on Live TV chatting it up with Larry King probably 20 hours before she died In my view Benazir Bhutto provided the last minute extravaganza at the exit of 2007 but I don't think her death will equal the media capacity Anna Nicole Smith received for at least two hardcore months. The whole situation went from how she died to 'who was the father?' .... I mean Zsa Zsa Gabor's fake prince husband Von Anhalt came on and told reporters that he was bangin Anna behind his 90 year old wifes back ... and the the security guard got into it of course .. and it was just an insane story forever and without a doubt Anna Nicole Smith gets my vote for death of the year. -
Seen Any Good Films Lately?
Banshees Scream replied to Cowboy Ronnie's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
I saw 'The Great Debaters' directed by Denzel Washington yesterday. I would rate it a strong seven out of ten. The movie was put together the right way 'it was based on a true story' but it was very long and from now on coming attractions seriously need to only show upcoming films instead of annoying commercials nobody cares about. -
I can tell you right now that I will be completely guilt - free no matter the outcome of Ariel Sharon's whole situation next year. Listing him in my view is just a form of failed expectation from the previous year and it's a ticket to never ending anticipation. He is a classic example of how the word guaranteed is highly overrated. Now what I'm saying does not mean he should not have an area at the downstairs part of next years list.
-
Well overall when I first hear something like this my reaction is usually 'How fortunate am I' that I don't live in a place where I walk outside and see people exploding. Pakistan is in a real deficit and for the first time I've taken rumored assassination attempts more seriously instead of immediately brushing them off. Anyway Benazir Bhutto was one of the better looking female politicians but if any of you guys have ever heard of the very Democratic 'Dennis Kucinich' you might realize that he isn't ever going to be president of the United States. 'I' realize that even as he probably never will be the president of the United States .... his wife Elizabeth will always be the 'first lady' to me.

f**k you Paul. I really didn't ask for your opinion. From now on know your role, and shut your mouth. The reason problems exist in this world is because of assholes like you. Now have a Merry Christmas and have a Happy New Years.
-
The conversation usually consists of the future and the bridges I need to build in order to get there. I've made progress and maybe this can help me change my perspective on certain concepts in life which I don't see the right way. Anyway I don't tell my therapist about Deathlist. I'm not going too and I don't even need to get into why. But what the hell I want to wish everybody a very merry Christmas. I want everyone to drive safely because we don't want car accidents. Last night I ordered a pizza and the girl 'she was young, brunette early 20's' slid off the road into somebody's driveway and crashed somewhere. I was waiting for at least two hours and having no idea what happened I said 'Is my food still hot?' and then I find out she was in a car accident. It's a good thing she was alright. On the subject of food on Christmas Eve I have pasta and chicken cutlet and New York Italian bread and everything else. I want to be everyones inspiration of drinking\overeating and letting go entirely on Christmas. I also advise that if you spent enough money 'leave the price tag on the gifts' because even if in ten years somebody forgets what you bought them they will definitely remember how much it cost you. Overall 2007 I guess was allllright but I think 2008 is seriously going to be one f****n hell' of a year! I've laid down a couple of suggestions for next years list and no doubt I'll be back in the house when the new list is drawn up so I can criticize it . I'll be back New Years Eve! Happy Holidays everybody!

DDT what are you trying to do? For a solid three seconds I thought you were talking about somebody else.

Luise Rainer has won two Academy awards and is the oldest Academy award winner alive at age 97. She received these awards for 'The Great Ziegfeld - 1936' and 'The Good Earth 1937' .. Deathlist needs an ancient film actress and I think she provides the need.
-
She was on my list for less then three hours. It's now time for me to draw my attention... to the reserves. I actually need people to drop off because if they don't and they are not included with my list next year I'll end up feeling guilty and everything if they drop dead in a few weeks so this way it balances it out.
-
I have a therapist now and the other day the base of our conversation was 'routines' and she was talking about making positive routines and this whole situation of your employees depriving you from your interest is f****n out of control. I think it's very possible they are taking advantage of your responsibilities and possibly giving you their own so they could have a extended lunch hour. It's very self centered and it has to stop.

I would have commented on this discussion before but lately I haven't been reading through as much so along the lines I've missed out. Now the fact of the matter is DDP is one game with many a approach. It's a no contest that creating a list with your very own randomized premonitions is no doubt the most enjoyable alternative but if you want to 'win' the DDP, the most effective approach would be to build your list off individuals who are 'at deaths door' which basically meaning The Guardian says they have six months to live. The point you make of how 'others view an actuary differently' is a solid point but in my view 'it doesn't matter' Personally I try to base my selections off the facts surrounding the candidates whole condition. You have candidates like 'Charlton Heston' 'Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn' 'Ronnie Biggs' 'Yves St. Laurent' all names who will be very consumed by deadpoolers next year. I seriously think all of them are very overrated and that 'just might be my view' but none of them for example will be on my list. For reason number 1: The evidence surrounding their 'decline' isn't convincing enough for me and reason number 2: My list is stacked and I have at least five reserves who I don't think will see 2009.

The brother of Democratic presidential rat candidate Dennis Kuchinich is found dead in his home at the age of 52. http://blogs.usatoday.com/onpolitics/2007/...ts-kucinic.html

Alright I hate to admit this but since you have surfaced the whole idea of teenage attractions I can't help but flash back my memory back 'to the beginning' when a young Mary Tyler Moore provided my fantasy for about three minutes.

It is 'Fidel Castro' the greatest Cuban tease to his much hating audience which all is distributed and exaggerated by the press. I blame the press for everything.

The tables have turned at some degree. Patriarch Pavle the head of the Serbian Orthodox church has demonstrated serious deterioration and is being treated at the Belgrade Military Hospital. http://www.pr-inside.com/serb-patriarch-pa...tor-r351873.htm Archbishop Christodoulos just might live to see New Years as he has received chemotherapy. The source reads 'condition has improved' but I still doubt he will see February. http://www.ekathimerini.com/4dcgi/_w_artic...5/12/2007_91200

Julia Carson, the Indianapolis congress woman who I said 'wouldn't make spring time' hasn't even made New Years. She wouldn't have received the DDP obituary anyway http://www.theindychannel.com/news/14862068/detail.html

You Guys Missed A Ton Of Deaths This Year
Banshees Scream replied to HSR3's topic in DeathList Forum
Anybody can say whatever they want but the performance 2007 has demonstrated is borderline disappointment to me. It's 2007 not 1997. I think at this point in time the total number of hits should amount in the mid teens and I think Deathlist.net really owns the title of 'lists of all lists' and for next year I don't want death to be consistent I want it to be constant. I feel with the information provided by various posters a record breaking list should 'no doubt' be in touch. -
Things are rapidly changing in the MLB and the era of 60+ home run hitters who have been completely dominating the game since the 'mid nineties' have now had their steroid obtaining checks turned in. Overall this restores the game back to it's original self and it has placed careers and statistics in a all - time jeopardy. I think the year 2007 was a year of retaining youth and a year of dramatic decrease in steroid use. The NFL is one of the most drug enhanced games on the face of the earth. The NHL, NBA, and I'm sure many 'soccer' players are definitely on some Deca-Durabolin and in my view it's only a matter of time before this steroid extermination hits every sport.

Things To Do While Waiting For Death... 2007
Banshees Scream replied to football_fan's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
She didn't know France was a country? She never heard of Hungary? What a stupid biaatch! This might be one of those game shows that have everything organized before hand. It really wouldn't surprise me.
