    Patrick Swayze

Well, he's lasted much longer than I predicted. And I agree, BCAlum, that there is something admirable about someone who just wont quit in spite of insurmountable odds....even if it does infuriate some of the less patient DL'ers out there! Mind you, if Swayze survives a few more problems and into say, May, he'll be getting into Eisenhower territory. Ike Eisenhower survived nine heart attacks, three strokes, pneumonia, fluid on the lungs and corrosive heart congestion and final died of a combination of the above just before his 80th! My grandfather was similar - survived 6 heart attacks, and the seventh was only succesful because he was weakened from MRSA, pneumonia and a reaction to his angina and asthma medication not going well together! It's not someone the forum would agree as being "evil" (unless you had to watch Ghost with your other half, I guess), so if he can get an extra few days out of his life then good for him. After all, I think we'd all be shocked if he's not on the success list by December 31st.

    Walter Cronkite

Well, lots of talented people are jerks - I know some. Lots of untalented people who think they are talented are also jerks - I know more.

I hope not. If push came to shove I'd rather WC was in the safe 30 than the 20 or so on the list who will or may die in the next twelve months.

You know, an aspiring DL'er could hasten it along by playing Norwegian Blue repeatedly outside his place of residence...

    Fidel Castro

He's been looking good for his death then, if he died two years ago!

    Dino De Laurentiis

The name didn't ring a bell, so I went to give him a read on the ol' Wiki. Was behind quite a few duff films in his time, but produced Flash Gordon and Manhunter, so he can't be all that bad.

    Ideas And Possibilities For 2009

For any particular reason? Or did you put a lot of old actors in a hat and pull out a name at random?

    The Fifteenth 2008 Success Poll

I'd agree - I don't honestly think any of the people left on this years list will go in the next 4 days! If any of them do, it's most likely to be Libby Taylor or Norman.

    Mahmoud Ahmadinejad

Was his speech any good then? Just out of a complete curious point of view.

    Harold Pinter

Couldn't stand the mans plays - had to study them in school - but quite liked him as a person. Not really one of the names I'm too happy to see make the final cut in the end, but he did very well to hang on as long as he did.
