WTF is a "price point" if it isn't just a price? Just seen it used by a twatterer and it reminded me that all those Apprentice twats used to talk about "price points" all the time and I didn't see the difference then either.

So far so good, but I'm going to the supermarket now.

Ah, it's that time of year where I struggle to remember that name I thought of in September who'd be a great pick, probably unique, but never got round to writing down.

A story here on CJ Hunter (see above) reveals that World Championship Gold & Bronze medallist Emmit King was killed in a shooting incident a few days ago; he was arguing with another man and they pulled guns on each other (yes, in USAmerica).

Still not a peep out of them re Clifford Rose, so I can't say that lack of Gilpilil mentions barely a day after his death surprises me greatly.

Made me chuckle anyway

I'm convinced I had him in a pool somewhere, at some point. Seems not this year though.

I notice that George "Johnny" Johnson is still shown as 'Date and place of birth unknown'; being 100 years old today makes the DoB 25-11-1921. His place of birth is staed as being Hameringham, Lincolnshire (Source: The Last British Dambuster, by George "Johnny" Johnson, Ebury Press, 2014).

Described everywhere as 'routine', will also undergo a physical examination. I doubt that it would have got a mention had his VP been male.

Of course, a lot of journalism seems to involve trawling the interwebs looking for juicy titbits, but the 'new Doctor Who' speculation seems to grow with each regeneration was it like this when Eccleston/Tennant/Smith left? On the subject of RTD I see that Lydia West (also of It's a Sin) has also been mentioned as a serious 'contender'! Personally, I'm less bothered about the actors than the writers.

According to this interview in The Guardian, Omari Douglas is the latest favourite to become the next Doctor. Ladbrokes website has him as 3-1 favourite, with Olly Alexander at 6. I wonder whether these two have ever been mentioned by the BBC/showrunner or production team as genuine possibilities or if its merely speculation based on the fact that the actors have worked with RTD previously. Maybe it'll be Callum Scott Howells next week! Personally, I think its time for a Brummie Doctor; Ladbrokes has David Harewood at 33-1 and Adrian Lester at 50-1, which probably reflects the chances of either of them saying yes, even if it were offered..

Came here to say this, saw I'd already said it. But while we're at it, those that say 'fur baby', 'forever home' and 'rainbow bridge' can get in there as well. I don't dislike dogs, I just don't get why certain people (all over social media) have that certain mindset.
