I've noticed a few people refer to today as being exactly halfway through the year (not just here, other sites too). I hate to be that guy (well, I say that...) but we won't be exactly halfway through the year for another three days , i.e. at the end of the 183rd day, 3rd July. -
I selected Pierre Cardin, seemed like a good fit.

Seems silly to feel upset that a 98 year old has died, but here we are nonetheless.

Well done @RoverAndOut. I'm probably never going to get that close to winning anything ever again.

Shopping centre ownership & management company Intu has gone into (intu?) administration. It has interests in 17 UK shopping centres, including Lakeside, Trafford Centre & Braehead. Estimated value of the company is £16m, down from a high of £16billion in 2006. Prior to the lockdown, it was running a debt of around £4.6billion.

No more walking in forests for Horst Jankowski, who died 22 years ago today, aged 62. This was the only record possessed by Radio Goodies in the eponymous episode of The goodies.

I wonder how she pronounces their surname. -
People who use the word 'doggo' when referring to canine animals. They're dogs for fuck's sake, and you're an adult. Grow up.

France's youngest ever Olympic medallist, Noël Vandernotte, has died aged 96. He was 12 years and 233 days when competed in Berlin 1936, winning two bronze medals for rowing. Speaking in 2008, he detailed his experience of competing at the Games - best known for being hosted by the fascist regime in Germany at the time. "When I arrived in Berlin, there were Nazi flags everywhere, armed soldiers dressed all in black in the midst of swastika banners, he said. When I got home at my parents' home in Nantes, I told them when i was 12 years old: there is going to be war." Vandernotte was then part of the French Resistance during the Second World War and later attempted to qualify for the 1948 Olympics in London.

Just noticed 'Johnson Out' trending on twitter. Thought I'd missed something (or people were having a very strong reaction to a press-up) Turns out its Bristol City fans calling for the sacking of Lee Johnson. -

Seasons 1 & 2 of Harrow are now both included in basic Prime Video, so I'm going through the second series season. My god Ioan Gruffudd is terrible. -

I have nothing against debate, and some of what Hurley says is clearly debateable; my main problem was that the clip is offered without any context. The clip begins with Boulton asking Hurley to 'put this event into proportion', but nowhere, not within the clip, not within Lloyds tweet, does anyone say what 'this event is'. Secondarily, the 'truth bombs' are mostly 'opinion bombs'. -
