Former Sussex & England player, and Warwickshire coach, Alan Oakman has died aged 88. He played twice for England, most notably taking five catches to assist Jim Laker's nineteen wickets against Australia in 1956. -

Former Sussex wicket keeper Rupert Webb has died aged 96, played between 1948 & 1960 (i.e before most of us were born). Last week he signed and donated his copies of Wisden to the Sussex CCC museum. After retiring he took up modelling and acting, and appeared (according to the the report) in Four Weddings & a Funeral as Duckface's father. -

Definitely the right pub - best beer and live music for miles around - just bad timing, getting there just as the band was breaking and all the once-a-week boozers deciding they needed a refill, and they're all either 'first' or 'next'. ... drunk people are less patient - ain't that the truth!
