Did Gerald Sim die last December or was it an erogenous report? We've discussed this in the DDP thread, I'm 100% sure he's dead but this hasn't been picked up by the press for whatever reason. Possibly when Sheila Sim carks it the papers will find out he's also kaput. Gerald Sim Obituary, finally. Date of death 11 December 2014.

Bernard Cribbins will never see the inside of one of my teams, but as he's immortal, its a moot point.

Who's Anita Baker?regards,Hein Here maybe you can bone up on your contemporary pop artists for Christ sake. 5 Platinum albums I'll assume ONE copy of the goddamn things sold in Holland. 8 Grammys I dunno maybe I retrospect you heard of her. Jesus .... SC "Anita Denise Baker (born January 26, 1958)[1] is an American singer-songwriter.....Baker eventually released her first solo album, The Songstress, in 1983. In 1986, she rose to stardom following the release of her platinum-selling second album, Rapture, which included the Grammy-winning single "Sweet Love". <b>To date, Baker has won eight Grammy Awards and has five platinum albums <\b>and one gold album to her credit." http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anita_Baker I'd never heard of her either. Anita Baker has had one (1) top-50 charting single in the UK (No. 15 with Sweet Love, 1986). That's as many as Joe Dolce. (Sorry, not up on the Dutch charts) So, irrespective of how many Grammy's yada, yada, yada, she's just not that famous this side of the pond. -
Rev Jack Heaslip, pastor to U2 has died aged 71 after battling MND. He was an Anglican, which rather ruins my image of a priest touring the world with a rock band shout 'feck', 'girls' 'whiskey.

The bloke in the middle looks familiar. regards, Hein I think I know who it is... (Apologies if this isn't recognised on the continent)

I didn't know they all had sex-changes? I don't see anything wrong in referring to Thespians of either sex 'actors'. We don't make a distinction for doctors. (At least in English - Swedish maybe different!)

B,,b,b-ut, I took the sleeper, I'm just crossing the mighty viaduct and Fort William is almost in sight. You're telling me I've spent £200 just so's they can give me a Bovril and tell me to fuck off, again! Did they give you a Bovril and tell you you're at the wrong ground? Since when could a club like the Fort afford to turn away a paying customer? Of course; I meant sell you a Bovril!

And now her mother is hospitalized. Rough week for Julia. Her mother has died. A DDP unique for Drunkasaskunk. Hold the fuck on. No I don't know your DDP rules but I presume they exist. Who the hell is Julia Roberts MOM and since she is a nobody how is she allowed I a DP of any kind?!!? That's ridiculous. I guess I can put my milkman and next door neighbor, both of whom have seen Star 80 starting Eric Roberts. Pffft. Sir C Celebrity by association, such is the nature of celebrity these days. The rules of DDP only require the death gets coverage (however small) in a major UK news source, Some people took a gamble that she'd get such coverage and are justly rewarded. You can also make a similar gamble with your milkman and next door neighbour if you like. Or not, just as I chose not to, but I ain't bitchin' about it.

Okay, maybe not a rarity, but it's not like they're an everyday thing. "Only" a couple of times a year. That's still a LOT more then any other country... Sure, but Afghanistan has much more terrorists. Wikipedia has helpfully collated a record of school shootings. Here's the page that lists the US school shootings, and here's the main page which lists the rest of the world. "There are notable school shootings all over the world, with the United States having the highest number of school-related shootings." Interesting to note that Switzerland has half the number of guns per capita (fourth) compared to the United States (first) but doesn't feature at all on the list. The difference is that Switzerland has national service, so after all that they're then fully trained and permitted to carry a firearm. Whereas in the United States people assume that just because it says in the constitution that they can own a firearm, they think they should. You can't just 'carry a gun' in the US! On the contrary. The percentage of law-abiding citizens packing a piece at any given time has to be under 2% and legally carrying (ie got a permit) I'd venture to guess under 0.2%. Someone watching too many Hollywood movies. SC It ain't the law-abiding citizens that's the problem! However your post makes no sense, even if the figures could be believed. Of the under 2% of law abiding citizens packing a piece, only under 0.2% are doing it legally, thus making the remainder of your group of law-abiding citizens law-breakers. Anyway, please tell me you have some basis for these figures (the under 2% & under 0.2%) and they aren't just plucked at random from the ether.
