Thanks YW, - one of those picks which might end struggle for a QO, but still moves me above last year's score!

Excuse my ignorance, but aren't a good few of these memes actually cartoons? When does something become a meme? Who decides?

Not only that, you can also go to Chillingshurst or Creepy Crawley. This is, apparently, to create 'fun engagement' for passsengers. I'm obviously getting old, as I find it neither fun nor engaging.

I don't know how, but Grace Slick is 84 today. -
I only ever saw Friends occasionally, usually at friends houses! I have never chosen to watch it, as the premise just didn't appeal to me, an opinion that never changed with the occasional viewing. Ricky Gervais is a classic example of "diminishing returns" as far as I'm concerned - loved The Office, Extras still good, Life's Too Short, getting a bit 'meh', Derek, abominable (never worried about anything else he's been in since). The one I can't really get on with is Steve Coogan - Alan Partridge is a joke that went on too long (that being said, his Irish farmer singing rebel songs was one of the funniest bits of TV ever) and consequently, whenever I see him in any other role or character, I expect him to exclaim 'Aha!'. In that respect, David Jason is always Del Boy (I always expected him to call Mullet a plonker).

British actress Angela Douglas is 83 today. An extensive CV includes Carry Ons, Z-Cars (playing Fancy Smith (Brian Blessed)'s girlfriend) Cleopatra (with Burton & Taylor), Doctor Who (Sylvester McCoy era, playing Mrs Lethbridge-Stewart) and Hamlet, as well as numerous other film and TV roles. She was first married to Kenneth More (Reach for the Sky, A Night to Remember et al), amidst much scandal as he was already married and she was 26 years younger, until his death in 1982; she subsequently married writer/director Bill Bryden in 2009 (they met in, and lived together from, 1988) and was widowed for a second time when he died last year. -
Luke was 52.

Yeah, why would you have an 80-year-old on your team?

This "kill" and "assist" thing is the main reason I stopped participating. In my opinion, certain people are voting with the intention of getting on the scoreboard at the end of the game, rather than voting on what they actually think of the song. Agree about Pulp, Common People is not their best song, and their version is not the best version.

That's the one.

Ellen Foley, who played the PD in season 2 is still alive (and still performing, as of June this year).

Rob Gardner, pitcher for Mets, Cubs, Indians, Yankees, A's, Yankees (again) A's (again) finishing up with the Brewers, in a 9-year ML career, has died aged 78. Still holds the Mets record for the most-innings shutout (15, v Phillies in 1965).
