Tonight's Twitter trends are interesting... -
They're probably too old. (j/k ). Not everyone's cup of tea; there were some punk bands I didn't/don't like but I wouldn't have called Television punk; (nor Blondie, The Ramones, or Green Day, all of which/whom I have seen described as punk).

Punk is the antithesis of mainstream. Despite your name, you're too young to have been around during the punk era.

Big day for the trades unions, as (L to R)* John Edmonds, former general secretary of the GMB is 79, Nigel de Gruchy, former general secretary of the NASUWT is 80, and (Baron) Bill Jordan, former President of the AEEU is 87 today. *pictorially, not politically. -

I remember her from ITV comedy series My Good Woman (1972-74) opposite Leslie Crowther. Strangely, there's little info on the 'net about this, but it also starred other familiar faces, Glyn Houston, Richard Wilson et al.

To be honest there are probably more than 4 or 5, can't think of a duff release, but solo Annie Lennox, No More I Love Yous. The Tourists were (and still are) severely underrated, but The Loneliest Man in The World was my introduction to Annie Lennox. It reached number 32 in the UK. Peet Coombes was/is underrated as a songwriter too.

The existence of NFL players named Lemon & Lemonier implies the existence of an NFL player named Lemoniest.

I couldn't pick a definitive top 3, maybe a top 4 or 5, in which the order is variable depending on my mood, but all Eurhythmics' songs would be eclipsed by an Annie Lennox solo hit and a Tourists track (minor hit).

Its 11 years since the death of composer Ted Dicks, aged 83. (Picture by Adrian Bailey, via The Guardian) His best known works came as a result of a collaboration with lyricist Myles Rudge, including the hit songs Right, Said Fred & Hole In The Ground, performed by Bernard Cribbins, and the Ivor Novello-award winning A Windmill in Old Amsterdam, performed by Ronnie Hilton. He also wrote scripts for TV, including episodes for Crossroads and Compact, and film and TV scores, including the theme to children's TV favourite Catweazle, brought to you with the magic of electrickery.

Mr Reptile has only earned half a beer from me so far - Jim Norton is now the right Jim Norton (or to put it another way, you've addressed him by his proper title, you little bollocks), but Paul Young, the Still Game actor, has been rechristened John Young (who was his dad, who died in 1996).
