Lance Larson, US swimmer who won the 100m freestyle in Rome 1960, but was controversially awarded the silver instead (John Devitt, d. August 2023, being given the gold) has died aged 83. (At least there's no doubt about the finishing order this time).

Music journalist and writer Neil Kulkarni reported dead on Twitter, seemingly suddenly, certainly unexpected.

Military historian and author Martin Middlebrook reported dead on the Xwitter.

Why indeed. A piss-poor imitation with Mark Clattenberg a second rate version of John Anderson, and Legend a third fourth rate version of Wolf. As for Walsh the younger, he really should "give it up".

Ray Henderson, once of Hull City (229 appearances, 54 goals) and managerially of Halifax and Southport, dead aged 86.

Charmian Abrahams, aka Charmian Eyre, who played Mavis Hooper in Crossroads from 1981-85, at the end of a decades long career, has died after being hit by a vehicle, aged 96.

Damn. He was a name I considered for DDP at various points, but everything I found indicated he was still in good health.

I wouldn't bet on it .

Caroline Richmond, medical journalist and obituarist, dead aged 82.

Norma Izard, former player and longest serving manager of England's women's team, has died aged 90. Also responsible for the creation of the Women's Ashes.

Whatever it is happened some time ago as that's how they appear in the master file. There are probably a few more affected (Richard Franklin was another).

Well, my first attempt has been semi-successful. The "Who's Dead' list and Scoreboard are (I think) correct but for some reason, the team and celeb updates haven't uploaded correctly. I'll revisit in the morning, its bedtime now!
