So, How's Your 2015 Shortlist Looking?
Ra Ra Rasputin replied to Spade_Cooley's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
The usual. 25+ names, all of whom will be granted eternal life by being on my DDP team's list. -
Just in case anyone doesn't know the first song (and, primarily, because you can never ever have too much of Debbie Harry ): I thought the Tide is High was by Atomic Kitten........ Grrrrr...
-
Do you reckon we'll all get a day off work for the funeral?

http://www.bbc.com/n...t-arts-29685903 - Lynda Bellingham finally runs out of Oxo Not sure whether they'll now show the scheduled Loose Women or not. ETA: Damn. Three other people have posted in the time it took me to try and work out how to do links...well, I'm not deleting it now after all my hard work.

Oh, I soooooooooooo want one of those. *zooms over to eBay*

The costume may have been tight-fitting, but her tits weren't that big. Not too bad for what I believe is nowadays called a MILF. Technically she wouldn't have been a MILF in 1980/81 as it was a couple more years before she had children. I'd agree she was reasonably attractive A better hairdo would have lifted her in the stakes though but, hey, it was the 1980s and this is Blake's 7 we are talking about. Avon had a similar perm by this stage. What do you mean "better hairdo"? That's my current hairstyle, you cheeky sod.

Awwww, sad news. "Rock Bottom" is probably my favourite UK Eurovision entry. I'm blaming the Irish...
-
That's the last of the "Vogue"rs to go.
-
To be fair, we have our own Eurovision thread for those kind of posts.
-
Despite my atheist leanings, I personally shall be praying for Fred Phelps as I have him down on my '2015 deathpool possibilities' list and shall be very cross if he dies before next year.

The Ones That Will Truly Be Missed Who Died In 2013.
Ra Ra Rasputin replied to Whitehouse's topic in DeathList Forum
Lou Reed Chrissie Amphlett Ray Manzarek Jeff Hanneman Bernie Nolan Richard Briers All of whom had some influence, great or small, on my childhood and teenage years. -
Judging by the photos and videos on her Facebook page, she's got better.
-
Although it'll possibly be overshadowed by the death of Lou Reed, Vinko Coce who came 6th in the 1994 Dora (Yugoslavian Eurovision pre-selection) with this rather entertaining piece of schlager, has died. Not sure what of, but judging by his size, I'll go with a heart attack or similar. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4_n1H-GWxz0

We did. 1967,1969, 1976, 1981, 1997.
-
Although this question requires further thought I'm tempted to say 1959 if only because I still do not understand how Teddy Scholten and her rather twee song beat Pearl Carr and Teddy Johnson.

Tim Curry might be one for next year's list after suffering a major stroke. The Daily Fail reports he is "doing great" but that could mean anything.

Death Anniversary Thread
Ra Ra Rasputin replied to themaninblack's topic in DeathList extra-curricular
The United Kingdom's pride and dignity died a shattering death on this day 10 years ago in Riga... -
Had the same thought myself earlier. There's quite a nice (albeit outdated) site re the performers here (http://thewvsr.com/t...ck-death-count/). However, there's a huge part of me that doesn't want personal favourites such as Joan Baez and Grace Slick to die any time soon. Also, I'm sure most of the Woodstock crowd are catered for by the Old Folkies, Dead Pop Stars, etc threads.
-
Damn, you beat me to it. Sad news. Good die young, indeed.
-
The delightful Daily Mail are reporting that Ex-Benedict's health "is in a very bad way" and "we won't have him with us for very much longer".
-
Could have a battle of "Grease" vs "Vogue" between Doris Day and Lauren Bacall.
-
Strangely, the German Wikipedia site but not the English one is reporting the death of Emilio Pericoli (http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Emilio_Pericoli) who represented Italy in 1963 coming third with the reasonably quirky "Uno per tutte". Personally I preferred Francoise Hardy and that well-know Luxembourger, Nana Mouskouri that year, but...

Bobby Ball and Eddie Large aren't looking too well these days. I thought Syd Little looked worse. Tom O'Conner looked older than his years too. Also is it me or did his (Norman's) wife look like she could have been his sister. For me Tom O' Connor looked the most likely candidate for next year. Mebbe not the most reliable of reliable sources, but on the Popbitch messageboard someone posted that Tom O'Connor is cancelling work due to "illness"...
