Spade - no mention of this one nor any score for me on the latest update.

Ed Doolan has come up trumps for me. 3rd hit over both teams, but first QO. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-5274807/Veteran-BBC-broadcaster-Ed-Doolan-dies-aged-76.html
-
Thank heavens for that. 3rd hit of year over 2 teams, but first with QO.

Local to Villa, fan for years...see lots of the old boys stuff & none of them are spring chickens, so I thought it was worth filling a team of oldies. Some of them will be obscure as proven with Sims & Alan Deakin who died just before him, with no QO at the moment, yet this Ted Phillips guy gets 2! I can live in hope.

My 2nd hit of the year & might also struggle for a QO - Nigel Sims http://www.heroesandvillains.info/forumv3/index.php?topic=58168.0

A 2nd hit for me, but could also be obit-less.

Another former Villa player, Alan Deakin passed on Jan 2nd. A hit for me, providing I get a qualifying obit https://www.expressandstar.com/news/local-hubs/walsall/2018/01/03/former-walsall-and-aston-villa-player-alan-deakin-has-passed-away/

Great first hit for me - all I need is a qualifying obit. https://www.expressandstar.com/news/local-hubs/walsall/2018/01/03/former-walsall-and-aston-villa-player-alan-deakin-has-passed-away/

M6(Tolled) are back with a few tweaks. Severn Trent have done well this year keeping the water clean. This year will be the first time I've put in a 2nd themed team - might be richer pickings from this more specific grouping! Thanks to everyone organising the DDP & this forum for the effort & fun.

Always been a big Heaven 17 fan. Martyn Ware, formerly of Human League now H17 used both Twitter & Facebook to say "get well soon Phil". Tonight someone has Tweeted how good they were in Scarborough today despite Phil's "cold". Nothing to see here. However, an interesting link is the odd circumstance of Ian Craig Marsh. Original HL member & then onto H17 with Ware, disappeared from the band in the late 90s saying he'd had enough of stardom. No contact with Ware & Glenn Gregory, with rumours of him teaching somewhere in the South.

She was on my list until I saw here on TV just before Christmas, apparently as fit as a fiddle. -
The King of Rock - & support network to dentists everywhere - Teddy Grey. Perhaps his coffin can have distorted words running through it. http://www.expressandstar.com/news/2017/01/17/sadness-at-death-of-dudleys-king-of-rock-sweet-firm-boss/

Our money at work is on KK too. He was at Southampton in the "Patrick" era with Channon, etc from where the one lad has come forward, & he was manager at Newcastle in the time when the other lad who said he could "murder" his absuer. There are some bigger names to come out, & not just Le Tissier & his dodgy naked massage.,

Not one pundit has eulogised about Dario Gradi's wonderful youth policy in the last couple of weeks. There will be a biggie, & my money is on David Platt.
