Howard Marks should have had this slot! Seriously, they chose an american celebrity with a less dangerous and less progressed cancer over the british celebrity with terminal cancer. He is Canadian Eh

With Vanity and Grizzly Adams going so quick I bet next Nov-Dec a lot more people will be scrolling through GoFundMe pages for Obitable celebs

Most of those on the list may not be excpected/predicted but a pop or rock musician in their 60s/70s dying would not be shocking

The fact he has had a lot of health scares the last few years and they never skipped an event for it makes me think it could be a saying goodbye to someone in his last few days sort of thing.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shigechiyo_Izumi Apparently he had an older brother that died young and took his name so he was only 105 at the time of his death.

Looks like the fate of the 19th Century gals Susannah Mushatt Jones and Emma Morano will go a long way in determining the winner. The current leader has neither on his list and the majority of teams have 1 as their joker. It's basically a 198 point swing one way or another.

And was this the story that took down our site for nearly 24 hours? you too, huh? A quote from that article: The sad fact is, once these legacy acts pack it in sometime this decade, there will be a gaping maw on the stadium circuit that has traditionally given bands a boost long after their commercial heyday. So goodbye classic rock. It’s been a sweet ride, but all good things must come to an end. Debateable IMHO, I could see the surviving grungers, Brit Pop and every fame-hungry whore that ever bought a Madonna CD filling stadiums and simply explanding the rock brand and claiming their own work as 'classic' I don't think people have the same connection en masse to artists the way people did to artists from the 60's and 70's. Although I still like a lot of acts I did in my school days unlike my parents I would rather see a new indie rock or local act in concert then see Blur,Massive Attack,No Doubt,Silverchair etc or other act's from that era just sing a bunch of hits from 20 + years ago

Biggest 'miss(es)' by the DL Committee 2016
CaptainChorizo replied to Sir Creep's topic in DeathList Forum
Committee is off their game in 2016. How could they miss Black dying from an auto accident when they were able to foresee John Nash's demise last year. -
Peter Sallis

He has falsely died so many times no one should believe it until a full autopsy report. He could just be taking a nap.

4 hits already in January................. and Joey Feek is still breathing.

Imo the teams that picked should just have 1 of their backups take his spot. Similiar to how if you picked Natalie Cole who's Dec 31 death was not made public until Jan 1. At this point there has been nothing that has him definitely alive as of Jan 1.

Blow me, a mention in the Daily Mail: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/wires/reuters/article-3405776/NBA-National-Basketball-Association-roundup.html Guy was Phil Jackson's assistant for three championships; it wasn't terribly obtuse at all was it? SC There's really no precedent one way or another since no Assistant Coaches to one of Popovich,Riley,Jackson's etc teams had died since Daily Mail started going for Us readers. Kudos to the person who took a chance on him. -
Is Joey Feek number one on the Drop 40? At the very least it looks like Feek is number 1 in Jokers

With Adamowicz since I know nothing about Autoracing I had no idea what his importance to the sport and potential obitableness was and his minimal wiki page made me think he might be iffy. Romero's case seemed like a decent pick but he just missed my team. If Angelil or Andrew Smith would have gone before Jan 1 he might have made it in.

Surprised Johan Criuff is not in the top 50.
