As mentioned elsewhere, DDP pick Peter Overton dead at 43. Don't think he'll get a QO but I've been wrong before.

    Derby Dead Pool 2019

Way past 100 entries already, a definite increase on last year. Quick question: is anyone here a full-blown expert on MS Access, in case things go massively south? As it looks like T-Mib has spurned this place for good, I may need to ask questions on January 2nd.

    Boxing Clever?

Someone with more time could check on which boxers have completely deceased opponent lists. I think the last living Rocky Marciano opponent died in 2009, if I remember an article I read recently.

    By-Election Bingo 2017-22

That campaign's going to be a barrel of laughs: ultra-marginal that went heavily for Leave, in the current climate. Good chance Mr Nigel Paul Farage could end up on the ballot.

    Derby Dead Pool 2018

So emails were sent on the.... 9th. All as BCCs, to around 500 email addresses. Only four bounced, but it's become clear that someone people simply didn't receive them. Including me weirdly. I have Gmail so I'm not sure what the craic is, there seems to be no rhyme or reason behind who it didn't send to. I will send a second email out this weekend, as an "in case you missed it...." piece, just in case.

This cunt's been in there 12 years? Clearly a blagger.

    The Monkees

Just listened to an interview with Mickey Dolenz, he made it seem like the recurrence of Tork's cancer is very serious and at the "prayers for Pete" stage. Your call for 2019 guys....

    Michael Schumacher

A lot of sound and fury signifying nothing in this Daily Heil piece, but some stuff of interest. One) he isn't bedbound two) apparently he's being prepared for a transfer to a clinic in Texas where they do pretty experimental treatment. So lots of opportunity for things to go wrong there.

Surprisingly late, but a QO is now out there for Garland.

    Derby Dead Pool 2018

Updating the stats tables as well this month, which has revealed that, following Devin Lima's death, Deceased Hose becomes only the second team in DDP history to pass 1,000 points in total.

345 days between death and QO, will this record ever be defeated? It also means January 2018 is now officially the biggest month in DDP history (38 deaths).

Felice Pulice. Never capped at international level, but goalkeeper for the notorious/batshit insane Lazio team of the mid-1970s that won the 73/74 Scudetto amid various murders and right-wing insurgencies. Dead at 72.

Can't believe it's taken until 2019 for someone to submit a theme team theme team.

    Derby Dead Pool 2019

A lot of the early entries are theme teams and the long-term-but-casual players. Don't really expect to see any patterns emerge in terms of most popular picks until my true love brings five gold rings.

Best ever month for celebrity deaths

April 1946 gave us Alf Common, John Maynard Keynes and Lionel Atwill, which is some big duty bang-for-your-buck.
