Looking at the team, I think they somehow managed to miss the actor. -
As said in that obit, died a few days after she started going viral on TikTok for giving an interview to some beauty influencer.

Watched this documentary on the history of bourbon the other day, perfectly enjoyable way to whittle away 90 minutes, and now I want to get a nice wanky bottle of bourbon to drink. Any recommendations easily available in the UK? Just go Four Roses?

Tell you what, bet the committee are glad that Cat Janice didn't happen four weeks earlier.

"Have they been mentioned in a QO source independent of their illness" is a good barometer if you ask me (fwiw, Smith would have passed on that metric). Wikipedia mods (no offence to their numbers on this site) get massive hate-boners for mass-allowing or not-allowing certain topics, so you really don't want to be holden to their whims (the "why doesn't Battle for Dream Island have a Wikipedia entry?" farrago for example).

After a six-month spell that has seen him battle bleeding ulcers, Barrett's oesophagus and anaemia, history's second most famous racist vegetarian has now had to cancel gigs due to pnumonia in both lungs. It'd be a shame if Stevie took his bow without there being a DL thread for him, so let's have one.

While waiting for Jason Smith QO, came across this photo of former Newcastle chairman Sir John Hall, who I assumed was long dead. Seems to be doing OK for 90.

So The Chronicle isn't mirrored by Yahoo, but The Northern Echo is. And, despite them being part of rival media groups (Reach and Newsquest), the stories of Daniel Holland (who wrote the original Smith illness story in November) get mirrored across the publications: https://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/news/24066164.newcastle-gateshead-mps-write-sunak-tyne-bridge/ https://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/tyne-bridge-mps-letter-sunak-28489468 What does this mean? Dunno. But I'm waiting 24 hours before I start going "another fucking No-Q?"

Put your rent on Elise Stefanik: she's been part of the Republican "establishment" since the early 2000s, but still kept enough distance to be able to portray herself as an outsider. She's female, which if you buy the "Trump's downfall will be college-educated women" argument is a great buffer. She's Catholic, which can neuter Biden's advantages with left-footers. She's got history supporting gay marriage, and I've got a suspicion Trump might go with a "Drop the T" gimmick this time out, the 2024 equivalent of the "Based Black Man" moves so beloved by alt-righters. Her only weakness as far as I can see is she made a massive fuck-up by being a George Santos defender up until the point it was clear he couldn't continue.

Nothing from the Mirror/Sun/Metro on Ice Train passing, does this mean the door is closed off for pre-Attitude Era midcarders as viable DDP picks?
-
Little says more about how "autobook card" the dying days of WCW were than Ice Train, having not been seen on TV for seven years, coming back to feud with Kanyon (who was tag-teaming with Road Warrior Animal). Pretty sure Ice Train was one of the first "American" wrestlers I ever saw, when WCW started on British TV he was getting a mini-push doing handicap squashes.

Swells, Kulkinari, Fadele... all the big IPC edgelords of the early 90s failing to make it to retirement age. Here's hoping Everett True's next.
