Dave, one of the Malone family's dogs on Gogglebox, has died, and gets a "breaking" from the Mirror. A good link to wind people up with next time their world leader/Nobel laureate/Dr Who supporting actor doesn't get a QO.

On the most recent Prichard podcast, when Duane Gill's name was brought up, he said "Duane's had a few health issues recently". Whether he meant Gill's 2020 heart attack, or something more immediate and pertinent, is for you and your 2024 DDP entry to decide.

Model Tabby Brown, probably better known as the ex-girlfriend of both Raheem Sterling and Mario Balotelli, dead at 38. -
Dead calm?
-
This is odd: he did get an obituary that was rebranded by Yahoo, but the link just redirects to the Yahoo News home page when you click on it (in the UK at least). So we're unable to try the "change to .co.uk" trick to get a QO.

Four dead and QOing so far, if I was Eric Angle I'd update my will.
-
Not the biggest name in arrows history but I think dying at this time of the year, when there's a lot of darts tournaments going on, gives him a significantly higher chance of QOing than if he'd gone in March.

There are definitely worse picks to have right now than Sophia Loren, would put Thatcher at 80/20 favourite.

I cannot imagine a celebrity less likely to be picked by the DL Committee than Deryck Whibley. He could have a time bomb surgically grafted to his head with the time set for "January 1, 00:01" and they'd still pick Bill Beaumont instead.

Today's possible death hoax: the TikTok Call of Duty: Modern Warfare cosplayer Inquisitor Ghost (105,000 followers) may or may not be dead after hanging themselves on a live stream. They may or may not have been a child groomer.

Lord Miles... alive! And freed (until the prick wanders back into another active warzone).

David Lauwers, the arsonist who killed 11 people in the 1995 Clerkenwell cinema fire, died in 2001. This is listed without citation on the event's Wikipedia page, but a 2015 government publication detailing deaths in police custody shows he died on February 26, 2001, aged 41 and of "natural causes".

Uber-centrist to the extent he makes someone as blandly "well let's not be too hasty" Third Way as me want to join Shining Path.

This is really going to fuck up my six-monthly "wait is Mark Steel dead? no I'm thinking of Jeremy Hardy" brainfart.

Michael Chiarello, who was a Food Network regular in the 2000s and early 2010s before sexual assault allegations derailed his career, dead from anaphylactic shock aged 61. Was on the all-star season 4 of "The Next Iron Chef" in an attempt to wear the IC apron, further to discussion upthread, but lost to Geoffrey Zakarian (as well as future IC Alex Guarnaschelli).

Can't believe nobody has mentioned his career peak, his role as the coach in the latter seasons of teen sitcom Hang Time. -
Not a QO but this seems pretty conclusive that he's dead. Does anyone know if Carlo Gambino Jr, who I don't think followed his father into the family business, is still alive, or is that it for Carlo Sr's offspring?

Not 100% off the radar but I only just found out that Peter Corey died in 2019. His "Coping With..." series of books was absolutely massive among children around the turn of the 90s, always a popular choice when the book fair rolled into school. There were even several BAFTA-winning TV series based around them. But his death was apparently only reported by local press in Thanet, and even then they focussed more on the fact he ran the local pub quiz. Bizarre.

For such a minor talent to have such a major pull, he must know where more skeletons are buried than Ian Brady.

The much-anticipated (by me at least) Milli Vanilli documentary comes out in a few weeks. Interestingly the man behind the scam (and Boney M as well as several other Europop jobbers) 82-year-old Frank Farian doesn't appear, although his wife does. Guilty conscience or sign of something more serious?

Do we not have a thread for toilet paper magnates he could also go in?

Poppy Chancellor, daughter of Anna Chancellor and former DDP hit Jock Scott, dead from leukemia at 36. Would have tried arguing she was famous enough for next year's DDP because she was an illustrator of some minor note.
