Should have laid off that cocaine.

    Journalists

Former Melody Maker journalist David Jennings has died at the age of 54. His place in history is mainly due to a dismissive 1992 review of the French group Darlin', describe them as a "daft punky thrash". Members of Darlin' later used that name for an electronica act they formed.

    Ooo's Ddp Farewell List

    Good pick, she's just died.

    Derby Dead Pool 2014

There's been deaths a-plenty, it's just that none of the guys who are either a) notably ill/old (and thus Drop 40 picks) or insider favourites (and thus picks from DDP title hopefuls) have been popping off. The only picks from teams who finished top 20 last year to have died so far are Felix Glenny (three teams), Joe McGinness and Steve Evans (two teams each).

    Ooo's Ddp Farewell List

Got any plans to retire? All I will say is that nothing lasts forever... Looking forward to Iain's debut as our leader in 2015.

    Ooo's Ddp Farewell List

Peace out, big man, an amazing DDP competitor and an even better DL poster. If you have things in your life that are more important than researching how ArtistTaxiDriver's bowel cancer is progressing, I'd take that as a positive not a negative.

    Your Personal Survivors

Down to five survivors from 2012 and three from 2013 with Mickey going up the Duff.

    Dying Bigots

RIP Fred Phelps, turns out you were only about the fifth most repugnant person Louis Theroux interviewed.

    Cartoonists And Animators

Occultist, paranormal researcher, 2000 AD scribbler and the man who taught the (unrelated) Alan Moore how to draw, Steve Moore, dead at 64.

    The Dead Of 2014

    She's so cold.

    Deathlist 2014

In fairness, it's not the DeathList per se - by now most of the DDP hopefuls would have had three or four deaths on the board. All of the 2014 big players - Johnson, Simon, Harper, Graham, Jaruzelski - seem to be checking Trivago for their summer holiday accommodation already.

Authors Last A Long Time, But....

"The Miracle of Castel Di Sangro" is easily the best book about football written by an American.

And now Ritchii's back performing live drag shows.

    Time Added

John Christie, who served as Southampton's goalkeeper for most of the 1950s when he wasn't strangling a string of women to death, dead at 84.

    The Ones That Got Away...

Maurice Faure, the last-surviving signatory of the Treaty of Rome, dead at 92.Where's that poster with the UKIP tendencies, he'd be good value here.

    World's Oldest

Is this Hermione Cock? Pro-tip: don't google her name at work unless you want a lot of "alternative" Harry Potter fanfic.

    Celine Dion

So Celine Dion's husband beat throat cancer once but is suffering a recurrence? It's all coming back to him now....

The Fringes Of Fame/family Of The Famous

Judging by Ritchii Kara's Facebook page, I think the CJD has eaten away at the part of his brain that controls coherent thought.

    Crashing Companies

The channel won't be going away completely, BBC have assured viewers that they will be making all of their valuable BBC3 content available on other platforms.

Perhaps it'd be simplest to have her put to S-L-E-E-P.

    Andy Fordham Memorial Darts Thread

which begs the question why are you bothering to post his death

    Wrestlers/actors

Robinson was the first guy to bring the British catch-as-catch-can wrestling style to the American territories, if he gets an obituary from any British paper that'll mean that anyone of remote relevance in Britwres history will probably also be a valid pick from hereon in.

The Fringes Of Fame/family Of The Famous

Gerry Collins, face of an Irish anti-smoking campaign and punt on this year's DDP for Inigo, Hope I Win, dead at 57. Let's see if he obits now....
